PGA Championship Golf Props

For golf bettors major championships are the equivalent of the Super Bowl with a prop bet menu full of wagers. This year’s PGA Championship will have over 150 of the best golfers in the world competing for the coveted title and there is no shortage of betting opportunities. Tour leaders aren’t making things easy for the field with the difficult Ocean Course at Kiawah Island Golf Resort hosting for the first time since 2012. You might as well jump on a prop for driving distance since players will go for it on the 7,876-yard layout, the longest in major championship history.

There are, of course, the standard pick the winner and tournament and round matchup bets with sportsbooks going all out to produce an abundance of props. So if you’re looking for some side action to spice up your tournament experience head over to BookMaker.eu to check out the expanded prop bet menu for the 2021 PGA Championship.

Will there be a Hole-in-One at 2021 PGA Championship?

Yes -138

No +100

Betting on a hole-in-one is risky in this tournament. Sure, the game’s best are teeing it up, but the Ocean Course has consistently been tagged one of the most difficult in the country by Golf Digest due its length and coastal winds that always wreak havoc. Therefore I was a bit surprised to see NO at even money on the prop board. There are four par-3s on the property with each one measured at less than 240 yards so the opportunity to knock a tee shot in the hole is there, but conditions have to be right and Mother Nature is a fickle mistress.

Will a player lead the entire Tournament and Win?

Yes +1100

No -3335

Find some change between the cushions of your couch and throw it down on YES. That’s about all you can do on this prop since playing the other side offers nothing in terms of value. And there’s a reason for the long odds since going wire-to-wire is nearly impossible in a field as strong as this one. When the PGA Championship was played at this venue in 2012 Rory McIlroy won by a record eight swings yet he was two shots off the pace at the midway point. In other words, the chances of one player going the distance are slim and the odds reflect that. But there’s always a chance someone plays over his head for four days and a small wager has a big return. Just hedge your bets by going with a more conventional prop.

Lowest Round Score at 2021 PGA Championship

Over 65.5

Under 65.5 -115

I mentioned this in the opening and I’ll touch on it again: the Ocean Course is a difficult layout. The length and ocean winds will be a problem for the field, and that includes the big hitters. Carding a 65 or lower doesn’t seem like a big deal for the pros, but on this layout it would be an accomplishment. When the tournament was held here in 2012, McIlroy tied for the low round of the tournament with a 66. And the course played around 200 yards shorter back then. If you’re going to bet on this prop it would be wise to wait for a clearer weather outlook. Nobody can predict what’s going to happen, but the chances of being correct improve the closer we get to the start. Windy conditions will cause scores to rise so backing the OVER looks like the smart play.

Will the 2020 PGA Championship be decided by a Playoff?

Yes +333

No -500

It is playoff time around the sporting world so why not drop a few bucks on the Tour taking part. It’s not unusual to see the PGA Championship or any major go to a playoff. However, considering the number of great golfers at each event you expect it to happen more often. The last PGA Championship to go extra holes was in 2011, which was the second straight playoff. The Open in 2015 was the last major to have a playoff. Between 1977 and 2011 the PGA Championship went to extra holes nearly 32 percent of the time. I guess you could say we’re due for a playoff.
