The unique handicapping factor is that the Grant Thornton Invitational field is mixed, comprised of top male and female players. The tournament consists of three rounds and 18 holes of scramble, 18 holes of foursomes, and 18 holes of modified four-ball.

Overall, Denny McCarthy ranks 40th in the FedEx Cup and 65th on the Official World Golf Ranking. He has never won a PGA event.

Charley Hull is ranked 5th on the Women’s World Golf Ranking chart.
