2021 LOL National Electronic Sports Tournament Betting

Fresh off seeing an LPL team win the League of Legends World Championship in Iceland last weekend, Chinese Esports fans have more reason to celebrate. The National Electronic Sports Tournament started on Thursday, and it brings together some of the best teams in China for the country’s most popular Esports. Every LPL team except Royal Never Give Up and Top Esports will take part in this year’s tournament.

Rare Atom -345
TT Gaming +232

Thunder Talk Gaming was the second worst team in China during the LPL Summer Split. They finished the season 2-14, and one of their two victories came against winless Victory Five. Rare Atom was much better in the regular season, as mid laner FoFo posted a 6.0 KDA and iBoy played well in the bottom lane. That should be enough to give Rare Atom the win here.

Oh My God -137
Ultra Prime +101

Only one of Ultra Prime’s starters in the regular season is likely to start this game. H4cker, Smlz, and ShiauC did not play in UP’s first match of NEST, but mid laner Xiaocaobao ended up in the mid lane. He played a lot of Orianna in the LPL, yet he wasn’t that good on the champion with a 27.3% win rate and a 2.8 KDA.

Meanwhile, Oh My God looks set to start a team of reserves. None of their starters from the regular season took to Summoners Rift in a loss against Rogue Warriors, so back UP at this price.

Suning Gaming -909
LGD Gaming +487

There’s a reason this is the most lopsided match of the day. Suning Gaming will be one of the few teams at NEST using all of their starters in order to prepare for 2022. Most of this team finished runner-up to DWG KIA at the 2020 World Championships, and SofM and Huanfeng are still playing at a high level. LGD Gaming will be using a team of four reserve players, as they are prepared to shake things up this offseason.

Rogue Warriors +242
EDward Gaming -357

Reigning LPL and World Champions Edward Gaming will not use any of their starters from their championship winning team at NEST. They are prepared to play their reserves as their main players take a well-deserved break after knocking off DWG KIA last weekend. Their reserves are probably better than Rogue Warriors, but they shouldn’t be this much of a favorite.

FunPlus Phoenix -222
Bilibili Gaming +160

Powerhouse FunPlus Phoenix will not be using any of their starters either. FPX was a big disappointment at Worlds, failing to make it out of the Group Stage, and there are rumors that this team will make some major changes in the offseason. FPX’s reserves upset Suning on Thursday, so Bilibili Gaming doesn’t stand much of a chance despite the presence of veteran bottom laner Wings.

Invictus Gaming +145
JD Gaming -200

Neither Invictus Gaming nor JD Gaming are using their starters for NEST. Both teams have an abundance of talented reserves though, meaning that this could be the most exciting match of the day. The loser of this game is all but eliminated from making it to the knockout rounds as Victory Five already knocked off IG and LNG Esports upset JD Gaming. At this price, it’s best to roll the dice with IG, as these are two relatively unknown teams without a lot of proven performers on this stage.
