2018 League of Legends NA LCS Summer Split Week 3 Betting Preview

2018-eSports-Betting-Bookmaker-Online-Odds

No team has had a definitive answer of how best to play on the two latest patches. We have seen plenty of innovation at this point with 58 different champions selected over the course of 20 matches, making it impossible to predict what each team is looking to do in the draft phase. On the one hand, that’s great. We’re seeing champions that we haven’t seen in years emerge as viable options on the Rift, and it has closed the gap between the good teams and the bad. However, it has also meant that late game comebacks are largely a thing of the past as games end too quickly.

2018 League of Legends NA LCS Summer Split Week 3 Betting Lines

Team SoloMid -175 Cloud9 +145

It looked like Team SoloMid had solved the problems that plagued them in spring during the first week of the Summer Split. However, TSM went 0-2 last week costing me, and others, a decent chunk of change. Bjergsen did not look particularly sharp on Anivia and Grig did not have the impact he should have had out of the jungle.

Cloud9 continues to be an incredibly mystery. Head coach Reapered held firm with his original lineup last week, but it should be just a matter of time before Sneaky and Smoothie are back in the bottom lane. They have performed well, while Zeyzal and Keith have struggled. The decision to start GoldenGlue over Jensen has looked somewhat smart, but the bottom lane must change. If that happens, Cloud9 are a very live dog.

Team Liquid -160 Echo Fox +135

I love Echo Fox in this match. Echo Fox have been more innovative than any other team on this patch, and that makes them very difficult to counter in the pick and ban phase. The only thing that has been constant is their preference of playing either Braum or Shen in the support role, while they have been malleable everywhere else. They have even had their players change roles in order to find the biggest advantages.

Liquid are the favorite because of how dominant they looked last week. They allowed just three kills and one tower to be destroyed in two games of combined action, with the entire team racking up a number of kills. Top laner Impact and AD Carry Doublelift looked very impressive, but the key is mid laner Pobelter. He is a great set-up player and leads the team in kill percentage.

100 Thieves -135 Clutch Gaming +115

There might be some changes to 100 Thieves lineup this week. The team is preparing to take part in Rift Rivals next week, and they have already announced that they will be playing two of their Academy players at that event. Jungler Levi might be back on the scene, which could lead to a very explosive game.

I’ll be going with Clutch Gaming in this one. Febiven has largely played well in the mid lane, and they won’t be doing anything tricky with their lineup. They need to prioritize better junglers for Lira to play on though.

Golden Guardians -120 FlyQuest +100

FlyQuest have been the worst team in North America this split. They are sitting at 1-3 and have gotten smashed in most of their matches. Their one win came last week against Optic Gaming in a match where OpTic pushed to end too soon and were punished for it.

That’s why I’ll be taking the Golden Guardians. They should be a bigger favorite in this match. Golden Guardians have gotten great play from their AD Carry Deftly, and he will look to have a big impact once more.
Counter Logic Gaming -200 OpTic Gaming +165

CLG should not be this large of a favorite against a team other than FlyQuest. Despite OpTic’s struggles, PowerOfEvil remains very formidable, and Huhi can be very hit and miss. With Aurelion Sol disabled for now, he is without one of his most common champions that he uses to catch opponents off guard.
