2018 League of Legends NA LCS Summer Split Futures

2018-eSports-Bookmaker-Online-Betting-Odds

The teams that were the best in the NA LCS during the Spring Split have started to separate themselves from the pack during the Summer Split. Team Liquid, 100 Thieves, and Echo Fox look destined to finish in the top three in some order as those teams are ahead of the middle of the pack by two games. There are just four more matches to play in the regular season, and those three teams are gunning for automatic byes into the semifinals. Team Liquid is also looking to assure themselves of a spot at the World Championships in case they stumble at some point in playoffs. Finishing in first place after winning the Spring Split would virtually guarantee that they have more circuit points than any other team in the NA LCS.

2018 League of Legends NA LCS Summer Split Week 8 Betting Lines

100 Thieves -125 Echo Fox +105

The battle for sole possession of second place is sure to be the best game of Saturday. I have to give the advantage to 100 Thieves in this one though. Echo Fox has gotten pretty fortunate if you look at some of the metrics at Games of Legends, as their gold differential is more in line with a team that has seven or eight wins on the year. Additionally, I don’t read much into wins over FlyQuest, TSM, and CLG and the honeymoon phase for Smoothie and Lost will soon be over.

Team SoloMid -125 Counter Logic Gaming +104

It continues to be one step forward and two steps back for TSM. They have now lost six of their last eight matches and are in serious jeopardy of missing out on the playoffs and not making it to Worlds. TSM have been unable to find any sort of consistency over the course of the season, and they have tried numerous strategies in order to right the ship. However, they are still faring better than CLG who have lost six in a row, so I’ll take my chances with TSM.

Cloud9 -213 Golden Guardians +172

Cloud9 is coming on at just the right time. After a 1-5 start to the season, this team looks like the one team that nobody wants to play in the quarterfinals. Sneaky and Jensen are back, but the star of the team has been Licorice. He may have surpassed Huni and ssumday as the best top laner in the region over this split. Licorice has shown incredible versatility with a number of selections, and he should be able to outplay Lourlo in a C9 victory.

Team Liquid -230 OpTic Gaming +195

As much as I like PowerOfEvil and Optic Gaming, Liquid are going to be too much for them in this one. Liquid has the advantage in the top lane, the jungle, and the bottom lane and that means Pobelter only needs to play safe in the mid. He is an expert at doing so, and he will not let PoE force the action against him. This will be an easy win for Liquid.
E-sports Betting Bonus FlyQuest -130 Clutch Gaming +110

I’m usually not optimistic about FlyQuest’s chances, but the team was somewhat unfortunate last week. They threw their match against OpTic when a win seemed in hand, and they gave Liquid a run for their money. Clutch is in disarray right now, and FlyQuest should be able to pick up the win as long as Febiven doesn’t pop off in the mid lane.
