2018 League of Legends EU LCS Summer Split Week 7 Betting Preview

2018-eSports-Online-Bookmaker-Betting-Props

Misfits Gaming have fallen off a bit in recent weeks, but they are still the favorites to finish with the best record in the EU LCS Summer Split. Misfits are currently sitting at 10-2, and that puts them a game ahead of Fnatic and two games ahead of G2 with three weeks left in the season. They are fully in control of their own destiny having already played Fnatic twice, and they are looking to grab the top spot in the playoffs. Finishing with the No. 1 spot in the regular season would likely mean dodging both G2 and Fnatic in the postseason, and that would be huge to their chances of winning the Summer Split Playoffs and making it to Worlds.

2018 League of Legends EU LCS Summer Split Week 7 Betting Lines

FC Schalke 04 -160 ROCCAT +130

Last week was a big test for Schalke. After winning four straight matches, they had to face two of the top teams in the EU in Fnatic and G2. In the first match, they looked like the pressure had got to them and were soundly thumped by Fnatic. Fnatic camped Nukeduck in the mid lane, clearly frustrating him and putting Schalke on the back foot from the beginning of the match. However, they responded in a big way with a dominant win over G2, and Nukeduck crushed the mid lane with a flawless performance on Zed.

As for ROCCAT, they have been the most consistent team in the EU. They have gone 1-1 for each of the first six weeks of the season, and they are likely to do so again this week with matches against Schalke and Giants Gaming. Jungler Memento has been the star of the team this season, and if they are going to pull off the upset against Schalke it’s likely to be because of his play.

Misfits -375 Giants Gaming +300

It’s been a masterclass performance from Misfits over the course of the season. Their five starters are ranked in the top eight in Europe in terms of KDA, and their team fighting prowess has been second to none. Top laner Alphari has only died seven times over the course of the season, and his 15.3 KDA is best in the EU LCS by a wide margin. The way to beat them is through early game pressure, and Giants has been able to provide that at times.

The problem is that Giants have really struggled in the mid game. They have blown decent leads multiple times this year, and they seem unsure of what they want to do in the macro much of the time. Unless they can snowball early against Misfits, they will lose inside of 30 minutes.

G2 -675 H2K +480

Things have gone from bad to worse for H2K. The team is now sitting at 0-12 and is in real danger of finishing the season winless. This week they will be without their best player too, mid laner Selfie. Selfie sat out last week due to a medical issue, and he will miss this week’s games too. That puts a lot of pressure on substitute mid laner Larssen, who will be making his LCS debut against one of the best mid laners in the EU.

Look for Perkz to dominate this match-up and lead G2 to an easy victory that could be the fastest one this season.

Splyce -230 Unicorns of Love +180

Just like they did in Spring, Splyce is coming on at just the right time. They have been able to knock off both Fnatic and Misfits in recent weeks, and they are starting to succeed now that marksmen are back in the meta. Kobbe has been fantastic on both Jhin and Ezreal, and it’s almost impossible to keep him off one of those champions in this meta. Splyce won’t have much of a problem against Unicorns of Love.
E-sports Betting Bonus Fnatic -210 Team Vitality +170

This is going to be my upset special of the week. As the meta shifts back to favor marksmen, the strategies that we have seen from Fnatic are going to start to fall flat. Star AD Carry Rekkles has not played since the first week of the season, and even if he comes back into the lineup, he will likely need some time to get back into a rhythm. Vitality have a mid laner that can counter the talented Caps, and that will be key in the upset.
