The 2020 NFL Draft will conclude on Saturday evening, and it could be the most watched event on network television this weekend. ... 

The Nicaraguan Primera Liga has come to a close, depriving us of one of the few soccer leagues still in action. Fortunately, they are still playing soccer in Belarus and Taiwan though, and two central Asian countries are also back on the pitch too. We have soccer in Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, giving traditional sports fans something to cheer for in addition to the usual slate of Esports. ... 

The League of Legends Spring Split is wrapping up in Europe and North America this weekend, and the regular season has finished in Korea and will finish in China by Monday. That will leave Esports fans feeling almost as empty as fans of traditional sports. However, many of those fans have the benefit of simply turning to CS:GO, DotA 2, or Rocket League to pass the time. We’ll cover those Esports more in this space next week. ... 

The usual suspects of Belarus, Nicaragua, and Taiwan continue to offer traditional sports, but the Esports schedule dwarves every other traditional sport. There is CS:GO, Dota2, League of Legends, and Rocket League to bet on this weekend, so get in on the action today! ... 

We are still at least a month away from mainstream sports returning, but we have our now familiar standbys to keep us company in the meantime. Belarus, Nicaragua, and now Taiwan are all playing soccer, but the main attraction is Esports. Esports are having their moment in the sun, and this weekend, the Worldwide Leader will be airing the League of Legends LCS Semifinals on ESPN2 and the NBA 2K Players Tournament on ESPN. ... 

Russia, Belarus, Nicaragua, and Taiwan continue to have some traditional sports offerings, but the real action is in Esports. NASCAR’s iRacing has been growing in popularity, Madden 20 tournaments have been popping up with regularity, and an NBA2K Players Tournament was all over ESPN over the weekend. In addition to those games, there is still plenty of action in CS:GO and League of Legends to keep us all occupied while we’re stuck at home these coming weeks. ... 

After a few weeks in the wilderness, we are starting to see a couple rays of light at the end of the tunnel in the sporting world. UEFA has informed domestic leagues across Europe that play could resume in July, and other leagues are becoming a little more optimistic that they will finish their seasons. That will be especially cathartic for long-suffering Liverpool fans desperate to see their favorite club finally win a Premier League title, and we have traditional sports in smaller countries and Esports to hold us over until that point. ... 

The number of countries still playing sports continues to dwindle. Australia postponed its soccer, rugby, and AFL seasons last week, meaning that traditional sports are taking place in just three countries. Belarus’ leader Alexander Lukashenko has insisted that the country will proceed as normal during the coronavirus epidemic, so the country’s hockey and soccer leagues are continuing as normal. Nicaragua’s soccer league continues to play games, and Taiwan’s basketball league is back in action. China and Korea are expected to cautiously bring sports back in April, giving sports fans more options, but the main attraction continues to be Esports. Most Esports leagues are back in full swing, and the playoffs are set to start in both the LEC and LCS this weekend. ...
