What to Watch Weekly Schedule for April 6 – April 10, 2020

Russia, Belarus, Nicaragua, and Taiwan continue to have some traditional sports offerings, but the real action is in Esports. NASCAR’s iRacing has been growing in popularity, Madden 20 tournaments have been popping up with regularity, and an NBA2K Players Tournament was all over ESPN over the weekend. In addition to those games, there is still plenty of action in CS:GO and League of Legends to keep us all occupied while we’re stuck at home these coming weeks.

Monday, April 6

CS:GO ESL Pro League

Astralis vs. Fnatic, 8:25 a.m. ET

Astralis is back. The most decorated organization in the history of CS:GO was sharp in Group A pool play over the last month of ESL Pro League 11, but they need a win over Fnatic after dropping a close series to Natus Vincere in their first match of Stage Two. A loss would make it difficult for them to advance to the playoffs of this competition.

Natus Vincere vs. OG, 12 p.m. ET

FaZe Clan vs. Mouz, 4 p.m. ET

LPL China

Suning Gaming vs. Victory Five, 2 a.m. ET

Oh My God vs. Vici Gaming, 5 a.m. ET

Top Esports vs. Rogue Warriors, 7 a.m. ET

Drummond and Beverley were two of the most impressive players during the first round of this tournament. Drummond dismantled DeMarcus Cousins 101-49, while Beverley crushed Hassan Whiteside 84-54. It’s unfortunate these talented gamers have to face each other now, but the winner might become the tournament favorite.

100 Thieves vs. Team SoloMid, 4 p.m. ET

You have to feel for 100 Thieves. Although they finished third in the regular season, Cloud9 chose to play them over FlyQuest, and now they must face the tougher team in the lower bracket too. Team SoloMid may have finished 9-9, but the ceiling is high for this squad, and they will be favored to get past the Thieves.

LNG Esports vs. Edward Gaming, 5 a.m. ET

JD Gaming vs. Invictus Gaming, 7 a.m. ET

LCK Korea

T1 vs. Sandbox Gaming, 4 a.m. ET

Suddenly, T1 don’t seem invincible. After losing four of their eight individual games last week, there are concerns of this team’s efficacy on Patch 10.6. It was impressive to see them beat Gen. G but dropping a match to 3-12 Griffin was shocking and getting swept by 8-7 Damwon Gaming was more surprising. Sandbox is in disarray, and a loss for T1 on Thursday would be very worrisome.

Griffin vs. Afreeca Freecs, 7 a.m. ET

Friday, April 10

Swole Patrol vs MiBR, 4 p.m. ET

LCK Korea

DragonX vs. Damwon Gaming, 4 a.m. ET

KT Rolster vs. T1, 7 a.m. ET

LEC Europe

Origen vs. Rogue, 12 p.m. ET

Rogue put a lot of their past issues behind them to beat Misfits in the lower bracket on Sunday, but they will have an even more difficult time against Origen. Origen easily cruised to victories over Rogue in their two previous meetings, and they have a significant advantage in this series. Origen and Rogue have the same strengths, but Origen is better across the board.
