NBA March 4 Parlay Picks

Winning a single bet in the NBA is hard to do since we don’t know which players sit out for ‘load management’ reasons. And with so many games condensed into a short time frame players dealing with nagging ailments sometimes aren’t at their best. But tracking the right information will certainly help our chances. It’s harder to put together multiple winners on a single parlay card as a result sportsbooks offer attractive odds. That doesn’t mean you can’t hit a multi-team parlay, but a lot has to go right in order to do that. There is a nice slate of games on the Friday, March 3 schedule including an ESPN doubleheader featuring four of the top teams in the Association. Go big or go home as they say. Let’s have a look at NBA parlay for Saturday, March 4.

When it comes to playing parlays you can make different wagers on games or even the same game if you like. Betting on the line is one wager as is a straight up moneyline bet. You can also bet the total. For our Saturday parlay I really like the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs to score a bunch of points. The game itself has no bearing on the Western Conference playoff race since both are out of the picture, but they are the worst defensive teams in the West with San Antonio allowing more than 122 points per game, the most in the NBA, while having the fourth-highest home OVER percentage at 56.7.

Houston gives up a lot of points but our wager could be impacted by their inability to consistently score the basketball. The Rockets are last in the league in field goal percentage and three-point accuracy and they are next to last in scoring averaging 109.5 points. In two games against the Spurs this season they averaged just 107 points. They will have chances to score on Saturday against a leaky Spurs group and the Rockets are defining their roles after upheaval at the deadline. Over the last six meetings the OVER is 4-1-1.

No team is hotter than the Milwaukee Bucks, who won their 16th straight game on Wednesday beating Orlando 139-117 to overtake Boston for the top seed in the East. But as the streak gets longer the chances of it ending also get better. With Boston and now Milwaukee getting most of the attention, the Philadelphia 76ers are quietly lurking just a few games off the pace with a chance to make their presence felt as a Finals contender. As much as I want to back the Sixers since Joel Embiid has limited Giannis Antetokounmpo in recent matchups, Milwaukee’s depth scares me. Having a guy like Khris Middleton come off the bench makes this team dangerous.

With Embiid and James Harden, the Sixers could be a problem in a playoff series, but they lack the depth of Milwaukee, Embiid missed time this week with a foot injury, and Harden will never win a defensive player of the year award. Milwaukee’s streak will end eventually, but not on Saturday. I have to back the Bucks against the spread as one of my NBA parlay picks.

Given where they sit in the standings the Cleveland Cavaliers are going to be a big home favorite in their matchup with the last place Detroit Pistons. That doesn’t scare me away from backing the Cavs, though, since a moneyline wager holds zero value. It’s been a magical season for Cleveland holding down the fourth slot in the East and the Cavs are one of the better home teams in the NBA going 26-7. They’ve also owned the Pistons this season winning the first three meetings by an average of 20 points with three payouts. I’ll back the home team again behind Donovan Mitchell and an intimidating young core of players.
