NBA February 25 Parlay Picks

With the trade deadline having passed and the All-Star festivities concluded, it’s back to work for teams fighting for a playoff spot and/or positioning. That means games take on added importance as we have only about six weeks left in the regular season. Surprisingly more than half the teams in the league have Saturday off leaving us fewer betting options on our NBA parlay picks. Despite that we have some intriguing matchups that give us a great chance at cashing a winning ticket.

The biggest game on the docket features the league-leading Boston Celtics visiting Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in a battle of Eastern Conference powerhouses. The game is likely to take in a big haul at the betting window and those who wager can watch how they do with the game nationally televised on ABC in primetime. Not to be outdone the Western Conference has an intense game with No. 1 seeded Denver visiting No. 2 seed Memphis. At this point it appears to be a two-team race and the Nuggets can further separate themselves with a win. The Nuggets have a 5-game bulge over the Griz with third-place Sacramento eight games back. Before we throw down on a NBA parlay for February 25 we need to know the rest of what other teams are playing.

NBA Parlay Picks for February 25, 2023

Boston Celtics at Philadelphia 76ers

Though a few other teams might argue, this is the marquee matchup on the schedule. The Celtics vaulted to the top of the overall league standings with a 9-game winning streak early in the season and have remained there throughout. The Sixers entered the break on a four-game win and cover streak that all started after a loss to Boston on Feb. 8. It was the second win and cover for the Celtics this season also taking the opener 126-117 in October. Both earlier games were played in the Garden where the Celtics have won over 77 percent of their games. Philly’s also been good at home giving them an advantage in this contest. The Sixers are 23-8 at home and have the best cover rate in the NBA at 66.7 percent. We should see a close game, but the Sixers at home are a good moneyline bet.

Denver Nuggets at Memphis Grizzlies

This could be one last chance for the Griz to make a push to the top of the West. They trail the Nuggets by five games with only about 20 contests remaining. After a breakout last season the Griz have continued and should be better down the stretch and into the postseason than they were a year ago. The young core led by Ja Morant has experienced ups and downs, though, making them a cautious bet. As much as I want to back Denver since they have the best player in the game, their road record is concerning. The Nuggets are just .500 on the road with the best home record in the NBA elevating them to the third-best record. This is a big game for the Griz, who lost the first meeting, 105-91, in Denver in December. They did a good job containing Nikola Jokic in that game but the offense struggled. Both teams rank among the top-10 in scoring so I’m sure we’ll see more points, though not enough to go over the total. The teams cashed the UNDER in five of the last six meetings.

San Antonio Spurs at Utah Jazz

Taking on one of the worst teams in the NBA, this is a must-have game for the Jazz to bolster their postseason hopes. Utah faded heading into the break losing five of seven games to fall outside the top-10. And three of those losses came at home where the club has traditionally been strong. This isn’t the same squad we saw in past years, though, and they are going through a semi rebuild after dealing franchise cornerstones Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. The Spurs on the other hand are in full rebuild mode and even Gregg Popovich can’t get this group to win. I’ll back the home team against the line and even throw down on the OVER since defense is only a suggestion.
