NBA Friday, November 24 Parlay Picks

After a few near-misses in previous Friday night NBA parlays my picks paid off with a three-team winner last week. And after the league takes Thanksgiving off the schedule resumes with 10 games on tap for Friday, Nov. 24 as I look to continue my heater. The slate opens with a matinee featuring the NBA-best Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic and concluding with a Western Conference tilt between New Orleans and the Clippers. Boston had won six in a row, their second winning streak of at least five games this young season, before falling to Charlotte on Monday to close a four-game road swing. After having their seven-game winning streak stopped, the Minnesota Timberwolves won their next two improving to a Western Conference best 10-3. Perfect at home through six games the Wolves host Sacramento.

I got all my picks to hit last Friday with the Kings pulling away in the fourth quarter in what was the closest game on my parlay card. Backing Sacto as an 8.5-point favorite in their road tilt with the Spurs, the Kings got 43 points from De’Aaron Fox outscoring San Antonio by eight in the final frame for the 129-120 victory. The Knickerbockers easily covered the 7-point line in their 120-99 victory over Washington and the Suns and Jazz completed my winning card by soaring OVER the total of 247.5 in Phoenix’s 131-128 road win.

Betting against the Wizards has become quite profitable. For the second time in four days they square off the Bucks and it’s hard to imagine this game being any different. On Monday Milwaukee slaughtered the Wiz 142-129 covering the spread as a 9.5-point road favorite. The number will likely be higher with the Bucks getting this one at home and finding a rhythm with their new rotations. Giannis Antetokounmpo led six players in double figures with 42 points as the Bucks won their fifth in a row with payouts in each of the last four.

The defense is still a work in progress but the Bucks are one of the most efficient offensive teams averaging nearly 121 points while ranking in the top 5 in scoring, field goal percentage and three-point accuracy. I don’t see the Wizards stopping them from putting up big numbers.

Putting an end to a recent six-game losing streak and winning just twice in their first eight home games likely keeps the spread lower than it would otherwise be for the Warriors’ matchup with San Antonio. The Spurs have the NBA Rookie of the Year in Victor Wembanyama but he hasn’t prevented them from losing a lot of games. A 124-99 loss to the Clippers on Monday was their ninth straight while going just 1-8 ATS in those games. Four of those losses were by at least 21 points and none were closer than seven points. They’ve struggled defensively giving Stephen Curry the chance to go off. And the Dubs are expected to have Draymond Green back.

If you said the Indiana Pacers would be leading the NBA in scoring through 12 games I’m sure there’s some prize out there for you. Boasting the league’s top offense has allowed the Pacers to cash the OVER 11 times, meaning they don’t play much defense either. They have a balanced attack with eight players averaging more than 10 points so the Detroit Pistons can’t key on one player. The total is going to be up there but teams that consider defense optional could easily exceed the number.
