There aren’t a whole lot of games on the slate for Wednesday’s regular season NBA schedule, but it seems like quite a few of the matchups could come down to the wire. That’s how the oddsmakers feel, at least, as they have set some pretty low spreads among the early lines.

Odds Analysis
The Phoenix Suns are one of the worst teams in the NBA but do get the advantage of being at home against the Washington Wizards. The Wizards are another lottery team but they have more talent than the Suns and thus have been pegged as the 2-point favorites. Washington is coming in as the -130 favorite on the moneyline with Phoenix listed as the slight +110 underdog. The scoring total in this matchup is listed at 231 points as it could be a freewheeling affair. Suns star Devin Booker had 59 points last time out but the team was blown out. Phoenix will look for some more team success in this one.
The Oklahoma City Thunder has been in a rut lately and will aim to break out of it in a matchup against the Indiana Pacers. Oklahoma City is the 6-point favorite and has been listed at -245 on the moneyline. The Pacers are the +203 underdogs. These teams can both play pretty good defense and the scoring total reflects that as the over/under comes in at 215.5 points. Oklahoma City has really fallen down the Western Conference standings of late and would like to pick up a win.
There are three other games on the slate for Wednesday’s action. The Utah Jazz will be at home against the Los Angeles Lakers. Utah is the superior team and has the home court, so it should be a comfortable favorite. The Portland Trail Blazers will be on the road against the Chicago Bulls. Portland is missing two key players due to injury so it will be interesting to see how the oddsmakers project this game. The Golden State Warriors will be on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies but will still be favored.
