NBA Basketball Odds - Philadelphia 76ers at Toronto Raptors Game 5 Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

The Toronto Raptors came up huge in Philadelphia on Sunday, as Kawhi Leonard led the way in a crucial Game 4 victory to even their Eastern Conference Semifinals series with the Philadelphia 76ers at two games apiece. The Raptors will now return home with a chance at reclaiming the lead.

Philly missed out on a golden chance to put a vice grip on the series and will thus be the underdogs again to win it. The 76ers have won once in Toronto and would love to pull off another upset in this Game 5 showdown. This has been a fun matchup thus far and this game seems destined to be another intriguing one in NBA betting lines.

This NBA basketball game between the Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors will be held at ScotiaBank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 7th, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

We'll have NBA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2019 NBA season.

Odds Analysis

The Raptors are listed as the 6.5-point favorites to claim Game 5 and retake the lead in the series. Toronto is the -271 favorite on the moneyline, while the 76ers are the +223 underdogs to pull off the upset. The scoring total is listed at 211.5 points.

Last Time Out

Leonard was dominant last time out, scoring 39 points in the 101-96 victory. He shot 13-of-20 from the floor and added 14 rebounds and five assists in one of the best individual performances of the playoffs so far. Toronto has put up impressive regular seasons in recent years but consistently fell short in the postseason. That’s why it made a blockbuster trade for Leonard in the offseason, and he is proving that the move is really paying dividends.

Jimmy Butler led the way for the 76ers, finishing with 29 points and 11 rebounds. However, nobody else in the starting lineup finished with more than 19 points and star center Joel Embiid was held to only 11.

Player To Watch

Ben Simmons -- Butler implored Simmons postgame to be more aggressive and it will be interesting to see how he responds to that challenge. Simmons had only 10 points, five rebounds and four assists in Game 4. A player this talented should have a bigger impact on the game, and it would not be a surprise to see him come out with a purpose in Game 5.

This series is so evenly-contested that a big game could mean the difference between a win or a loss. Simmons has all the talent in the world, and now he needs to prove it on a big stage, especially after being called out publicly by his teammate.

This has been a topsy-turvy series, but Toronto is the better team. Pascal Siakam was able to play in Game 4 despite a calf injury, and while he wasn’t great, it helps the Raptors to have their full squad available. Kyle Lowry stepped up in Game 4 and Toronto was able to weather the storm of being down 2-1 in this series.

Look for the Raptors to take control with the win in Game 5, and it will be easier than the oddsmakers believe. Take Toronto to cover the spread in NBA gambling,

NBA ATS Pick: Toronto Raptors 108, Philadelphia 76ers 100
