NBA Basketball Odds - Milwaukee Bucks at Philadelphia 76ers Thunder Game Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

If the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers meet in the postseason, it could be a fantastic showdown with a trip to the NBA Finals on the line. These two Eastern Conference powers are going to face off before then as the regular season winds down, but it’s unclear how much motivation they will have.

The Bucks are in great shape to finish with the best record in the NBA and the 76ers are basically locked into the No. 3 seed in the East, so this potential titanic clash may not live up to the billing if the teams rest some players in advance of the postseason.

Keep a watchful eye on any developments in order to have the right information. It could really affect the spread a lot if a star or two sits in NBA gambling.

This NBA basketball game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers will be held at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 4th, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

Odds Analysis

The Bucks have a record of 57-20 on the year, which is three games better than the Toronto Raptors for the top mark in the NBA. Milwaukee is well on its way to finishing with the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, and is set to have home court advantage in every playoff series it participates in. Milwaukee has won seven of its past 10 games and is 25-14 on the road this year.

The 76ers are 49-27 on the year and won’t be able to move up or down from the No. 3 seed down the stretch. Philadelphia has won eight of its past 10 games and would certainly like to head into the playoffs on a hot streak. The 76ers have been great at home this year with a 30-9 mark and they will aim to improve on that in NBA betting lines.

Injury Report

Milwaukee star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is dealing with an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for a game in Sunday’s loss to Atlanta. While the injury isn’t a huge concern, the Bucks certainly want to get their MVP candidate right heading into the playoffs. Antetokounmpo is having a monster year, averaging 27.4 points, 12.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game on the season.

The Bucks didn’t have fellow All-Star Khris Middleton against Atlanta as he is dealing with groin soreness. It’s another injury that seems minor, but at this point in the season MIlwaukee will certainly be cautious. Middleton is averaging 18.1 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game on the year.

The 76ers are not going to use star center Joel Embiid on their three-game road trip for load management purposes. However, that could mean he will be back for this game. A rested Embiid would be a huge boost for Philadelphia, as he is one of the best big men in the game.

Keep a close eye on the status of all three of these stars because their availability will have a big effect on the spread.

Key Stat

117.8. That’s the number of points per game the Bucks average on the season, which is the best in the NBA. The 76ers aren’t that far behind at 115.3 per game, as both teams like getting out and pushing the ball off missed shots.

If both teams are at full strength this game could be a lot of fun to watch, with each side happy to play at a fast pace. However, if some of the aforementioned stars sit, the scoring total will probably drop as the backups won’t be able to score as efficiently.

Free NBA ATS Picks

This is going to be a tough game to call before close to tipoff because of all the moving parts. While each side wants to make sure everyone is healthy, it’s also important to stay in a nice groove as the postseason approaches.

If each side is close to full strength, this could be a competitive showdown. The 76ers are playing really good basketball and get this game at home, where they have been dominant for much of the season. Even though the Bucks have the best record in the NBA, Philadelphia is the choice on the moneyline in this matchup in NBA wagering.

NBA ATS Pick: Philadelphia 76ers 121, Milwaukee Bucks 117
