NBA Basketball Odds - Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks Game 5 Preview

NBA Basketball Odds

The Milwaukee Bucks were the best team in the NBA during the regular season, and any worries about postseason inexperience should be squashed by now. The Bucks just went on the road and picked up two victories over the Boston Celtics to take a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

A victory at home on Wednesday would give the Bucks a berth in the Eastern Conference Finals. Milwaukee has proven to be the superior team in this series and will aim to close things out in this one. Boston will be a sizable underdog but did claim Game 1 in Milwaukee so it will have some confidence to pull it off again in NBA wagering.

This NBA basketball game between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks will be held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019. The game will be nationally televised on TNT.

We'll have NBA basketball odds at BookMaker.eu available for every game of the 2019 NBA season.

Odds Analysis

The Bucks have been listed as the 9.5-point favorites to win Game 5 and secure the series win. Milwaukee is -515 on the moneyline while the Celtics would pay off at +394 by pulling out the upset.

The scoring total is listed at 217.5 points. Milwaukee has had no issues scoring of late and if it can keep it up the “over” may once again be the winner in NBA odds.

Last Time Out

Giannis Antetokounmpo continued his dominant series with 39 points on 15-of-22 from the field while adding 16 rebounds and four assists. Milwaukee trailed by eight points after the first quarter but steadily closed the gap and then took over in the second half for the 113-101 win.

Georgie Hill gave the Bucks a nice boost off the bench with 15 points, and Milwaukee only turned the ball over eight times all night. The Celtics were led by Markieff Morris, who had 18 points and 14 rebounds. Kyrie Irving had 23 points for Boston but shot just 7-of-22 from the field.

Key Stat

7. That’s the number of points the Celtics got from their bench in Game 4, and the lack of punch from the reserves helped spell doom in that game. Gordon Hayward was particularly unimpressive, finishing with just two points on 1-of-5 shooting in 27 minutes of action. Hayward has not been the same since a serious injury last year and a step up would be a big development next time out.

Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier also hope to make an impact after not having much of one in Game 4 in Boston.

Free NBA ATS Picks

The Celtics were the preseason favorites in the East but the Bucks have proven they are superior. The Bucks are the pick to win this game and move on to the conference finals, but the spread for this one is too high. Take Boston to cover this spread, and the Celtics will be good enough defensively for the “under” to hit in NBA betting lines.

NBA ATS Pick: Milwaukee Bucks 111, Boston Celtics 104
