College Basketball Betting – Tuesday Best Bets

College Basketball Betting

Where there’s a beginning there is also an end, or something like that. But that is the case in the college basketball world for Tuesday’s slate of games. The ACC Tournament gets underway while the No. 1 ranked team in the country goes for yet another win in a West Coast Conference tournament final that has become all too familiar. Gonzaga can wrap up a No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament by taking down Saint Mary’s.

We’ll also get tickets to the Dance punched in the Colonial Athletic Association when the top two teams Hofstra and Northeastern square off. Wright State and Northern Kentucky shared the regular season title and they’ll decide the Horizon League tournament champion. The Summit will also crown a champion with Omaha and North Dakota State fighting for the league’s automatic bid.

BookMaker.eu will have college basketball odds and live betting options for every game on the Tuesday schedule.

Tuesday Best Bets

Pittsburgh vs. Boston College, 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)

It’s been a turbulent season for both teams, but one of them will at least have a tournament victory on its ledger. Pitt had a nice start to the season and won two of its first four league games before the wheels fell off. The Panthers lost 13 in a row before ending the skid in the regular season finale against Notre Dame, getting a share of the basement with the Irish. Pitt did not win a road game, and while this isn’t technically a “road” game, it’s far enough from home to qualify.

BC has some talented players with experience, which makes their struggles all the more perplexing. The Eagles finished ACC play at 5-13, losing three straight to close the campaign. BC’s Ky Bowman averaged 19.2 points during the season but struggled down the stretch. He was responsible for leading the Eagles to a pair of tournament wins last season by averaging over 24 points, eight rebounds and 4.7 assists in three games. A return to the tournament stage will get Bowman back on track and the Eagles will cruise, making them a Tuesday best bet.

Saint Mary’s vs. Gonzaga, 9 p.m. ET (ESPN)

Gonzaga is playing like a team on a mission, and it won’t end until the first part of April with a trip to the Final Four. The Zags rolled through the WCC and weren’t tested, not even by the second-best team in the conference. The Gaels and Zags will be meeting in the tournament final for the eighth time in 11 seasons and Gonzaga has won five of the previous encounters. They also swept the season series, winning by 48 in Spokane and 14 in Moraga in the regular season finale.

The Gaels are also faced with the difficult task of trying to beat the No. 1 team in the land less than 24 hours after getting by a pesky San Diego squad. They exerted plenty of energy while the Zags got a bit of breather playing the early game and cruising to a 26-point win over Pepperdine. Faced with some monumental lines, the Zags still won two straight and three of four ATS and twice covered against the Gaels. It’s hard to beat a team three times in a season, but the Zags are no ordinary team.

North Dakota State vs. Omaha, 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2)

The Bison and Mavericks will play for all the marbles the Summit League has. North Dakota State caught a break when Western Illinois upset top-seed South Dakota State in the first round. NDSU took advantage by knocking off the Leathernecks in the semis. Omaha has put together a nice season winning 21 games and they have an explosive offense averaging nearly 80 points per game.

The Mavs beat NDSU twice during the regular season, winning in a shootout when they scored 90 points and taking a defensive battle when they managed just 58. UNO also handled business in the tight games, winning the first two tournament matchups by a combined six points. A close game is expected with the Mavericks prevailing as one of my best bets.
