In a storyline that seems ripped straight from WWE, famed YouTube brawler Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson - 5-2, 3 KOs, 1 SUB - will meet his former bodyguard Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris - 2-0, 2 KOs - this Friday at Bellator 149. Neither man can be considered a top-50, or even a top-100 heavyweight, but this grudge match is one of the most compelling heavyweight bouts of 2016 so far.

ODDS ANALYSIS
I’m sure oddsmakers had a difficult time with this one. In short, these guys lack any real skillset besides winging punches. That makes it a nightmare to bet on. Slice has more pro MMA experience with seven bouts, which leads to his status as a clear favorite. The over/under at 1.5 rounds is a given, simply because there’s no way this fight goes to the final bell.
FIGHT BREAK DOWN
Let’s be real, we’re not expecting any fine technique or MMA skill from either fighter. We’re here to see two guys that look like the last persons you’d want to see in dark alley in a sanctioned street fight. And they just happen to hate each other. It’s so intriguing, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is Bellator’s highest rated show ever.
But onto the fighters. Slice hits hard, and that’s pretty much it. He’s got decent head movement for about two minutes, then he completely gasses out and stands around with his hands on his hips, gasping for air. When things get to that point, he pretty much throws haymaker hooks in hopes of landing a knockout blow.
When he tries to grapple, things get comical. Slice usually only resorts to wrestling when he’s desperate, and his lack of experience in the ground game shows. His only move is a single leg takedown, and it simply just looks like he’s clinging for dear life instead of trying to get the fight to the ground.
Dada 5000 has two KOs in both his pro fights. Not so bad right? Maybe, until you start digging and find out that one of those guys is 0-6 and the other is 1-10. That really tells us nothing except that Dada maybe isn’t the worst pro fighter on the planet. With his street fighting roots, I assume he hits hard and fights sloppy. But I’ll be the first to admit I know next to nothing about Dada 5000 as a pro.
THE SMART PLAYS
Honestly, stay away from this fight. If you must bet, consider the value that Dada 5000 presents as an underdog. I know Slice is the bigger name and coming off a win, but did you watch him fight against Shamrock? Dude was completely gassed in two minutes. If it gets to that point again, and it probably will, it’s anyone’s fight.
