2022 League of Legends LEC Spring Split Week 2 Betting Preview

2022 League of Legends LEC Spring Split Week 2 Betting

There was a major surprise at the end of the first week of the LEC Spring Split. New superteam Team Vitality was one of the favorites to win the league ahead of the new season, but they went 0-3 in Week 1. They lost to MAD Lions, Fnatic, and Excel Esports, and while the first two losses are somewhat understandable, the third loss is a big red flag. Vitality is in need of a win this week against Team BDS.

2022 League of Legends LEC Spring Split Week 2 Betting Odds

Misfits Gaming -185

Excel Esports +138

Once again, Misfits Gaming is off to a strong start this season. Vetheo has played very well in the mid lane, and Neon has looked sharp in the bottom lane for the team. Top laner Hirit has struggled with a 1.4 KDA, but he has dealt 30.9% of his team’s damage per Games of Legends.

They are a sizeable favorite over Excel Esports for a reason. Finn is the only player that has performed particularly well for 1-2 Excel, despite his 2.2 KDA.

Fnatic -714

Astralis +422

The biggest favorite this week is 3-0 Fnatic against 0-3 Astralis. Fnatic have looked strong in their unbeaten start, particularly in the bottom lane. Upset boasts a 13 KDA, while Hylissang has proven he is the best support in the LEC with a 7.4 KDA while being involved in almost 85% of his team’s kills.

It hasn’t been a good start to the season for Astralis. Their bottom lane has struggled to find their footing with Kobbe and Promisq, and new mid laner Dajor is carrying a 1.8 KDA.

SK Gaming +150

G2 Esports -204

New support Targamas has played a big part in G2 Esports’ 2-1 start to the season. He is carrying an 8.8 KDA, and he was superb on both Pyke and Lulu. Unfortunately, Caps continues to underperform in the mid lane with a 2.2 KDA while dealing just 18.8% of G2’s damage.

That gives SK Gaming a chance to pull off the upset. Jenax has played very well in the top lane, and the bottom lane can hold its own against G2. Mid laner Sertuss will be the pivot point, but he has showed some promise early on in the LEC.

Team Vitality -294

Team BDS +211

Maybe it’s too early to call any game a must-win, but we might be at that point with Team Vitality. This organization put together a title contender, yet Vitality are still searching for their first win. Perkz has been particularly bad upon his return to Europe with a 1.3 KDA and has only been a part of 42.6% of his team’s kills by Games of Legends.

BDS won their first game as an organization against Excel Esports last week. This team has a lot of good, young talent, but we have got to see more out of xMatty in the bottom lane. He won two European Masters’ titles with Karmine Corp in 2021, yet he has been caught out too often.

Rogue +102

MAD Lions -135

These two organizations are very familiar with one another. They proved that Europe was no longer just the playground of G2 and Fnatic last year and both teams made Worlds. However, the League of Legends betting odds have MAD Lions listed as slight favorites even though Rogue are unbeaten. Rogue has flaws, but they are a value pick at this price considering how the bottom lane is performing.
