There have yet to be boxing betting odds released for this bout, but Nyambayar will be the favorite as a former world champion. For those that are somewhat new to betting on boxing if Nyambayar is a -800 favorite, that means you would have to wager $800 on him to win $100. That would make Cobia Breedy close to a +450 underdog, so a $100 wager on return $450 if Breedy were to remain undefeated.

As the fight nears, there will be decision betting too. You will be able to bet on whether the fight is decided by KO, TKO, or decision, and you can bet on which boxer will win the fight in that fashion as well.

Tugstsogt Nyambayar vs Cobia Breedy Preview

Nyambayar made a name for himself as an amateur boxer. He became the fifth boxer in Mongolia’s history to medal at the Summer Olympics when he won the silver medal at the 2012 London games, and he won the silver medal at the 2009 World Championships too. Nyambayar needed some time to go pro after his impressive performance at the Olympics though, and he didn’t fight professionally until 2015.

It was worth the wait to see the featherweight nicknamed ‘King Tug’ in action. He won his first eight fights by knockout, and his third-round TKO win over former title winner Oscar Escandon in May 2018 led to a title shot. Nyambayar scored a unanimous decision victory in the Big Apple over Claudio Marrero to win the vacant IBO featherweight belt.

We saw Nyambayar in action earlier this year when he faced Gary Russell Jr. for the WBC featherweight strap in February. Russell didn’t have much trouble defeating Nyambayar, successfully defending his belt for the fifth time, but that was a solid learning experience for the two-time silver medalist.

Cobia Breedy also took part in the Olympics, but he wasn’t fortunate enough to medal. Breedy turned pro in 2014, and he cruised to a 10-0 record to kick off his career. None of those first opponents were particularly good though, and his first real victory came in May 2018 when he beat Christopher Martin.

Breedy followed up that win with a unanimous decision win over previously undefeated Drew Correll, and then he secured a technical decision over Fernando Fuentes due to a headbutt. That was parlayed into a unanimous decision victory over Ryan Allen last August, and he secured a TKO of Titus Williams in December. He doesn’t have a ton of power though, so don’t expect a knockout.
