Tyron Woodley +204

After winning the earlier fight between these two relative newcomers, Jake Paul has been established as an even bigger favorite per the boxing betting odds. In their first meeting, Paul was -185 against Woodley, but he is up to -265 in the rematch. For those unfamiliar with betting on boxing, that means a $265 bet on Paul would return $100 if he were to win for the second time against Woodley. As the fight nears, there will be decision betting too. You will be able to bet on whether the fight is decided by KO, TKO, or decision, and you can bet on which boxer will win the fight in that fashion as well.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Preview

The first bout between Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley was not totally decisive. Paul won a split decision victory as one of the judges gave Woodley the win on their card despite most observers agreeing that Paul had won the fight. The social media star outlanded Woodley 71 to 52, and he only took one big punch.

It’s been pretty impressive to watch Paul develop as a fighter. He has proved that he is not just a sideshow act as he has grown with each subsequent fight, and he showed that he had both stamina and decent defensive skills. Paul has come a long way from his first fight almost two years ago, where he scored a first-round TKO of AnEsonGib.

Paul had no trouble with Nate Robinson in an epic mismatch considering Paul’s considerable height advantage. He also had little problem dealing with former UFC fighter Ben Askren. He scored a very convincing win over Askren, as Askren was a grappler with no real boxing experience.

Tyron Woodley was a more successful UFC fighter than Ben Askren was during his time with the promotion. Woodley held the UFC Welterweight Championship for nearly three years, and he recorded seven knockouts over that stretch. He first claimed the belt with a first-round KO of Robbie Lawler at UFC 201, and he was able to successfully defend that title against three separate opponents before losing to the powerful Kamaru Usman.

During his MMA career, Woodley was 19-7-1. Unfortunately though, he ended his career in the UFC with four straight defeats. Following his loss to Usman, he lost a unanimous decision to Gilbert Burns before sustaining a rib injury in a loss to Colby Covington last September. In his final UFC fight, Woodley was submitted by Vicente Luque in the first round at UFC 260.

Woodley has a background in wrestling, but he is a pretty decent striker too. That made him a much tougher test than Askren, but he is giving up a lot of size. Paul is 6’1 with a 76 inch reach, while Woodley is 5’9 with a 74 inch reach. Woodley might be worth a play on the rematch though considering he hung in the first time.
