Jake Paul -185

Tyron Woodley +146

Although Jake Paul is still a relative newcomer to the combat sports scene, he is a moderate favorite per the boxing betting odds. As the fight nears, there will be decision betting too. You will be able to bet on whether the fight is decided by KO, TKO, or decision, and you can bet on which boxer will win the fight in that fashion as well.

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Preview

It’s been impressive to see Jake Paul’s growth as a fighter. He was originally dismissed as a sideshow act, but he has slowly made people pay attention to his skills with his performances over the last two years.

As with his older brother, Jake Paul’s first opponent was another YouTube star. He took on AnEsonGib in Miami in January 2020, and he showed his power with a first-round TKO. His next fight really raised some eyebrows though, as he faced former basketball star Nate Robinson on the primary undercard of the exhibition between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. Paul had a huge height and weight advantage and made the most of it with a breathtaking knockout.

Paul faced a former UFC fighter in his most recent bout. He headlined the card in taking on Ben Askren in April. Paul won a convincing victory over Askren, but it was somewhat maligned considering Askren’s track record. Askren was a grappler and not a boxer, and he looked out of place in the ring. Still, Paul must be given some respect for a win over an MMA fighter that went 19-2.

Tyron Woodley was a more successful UFC fighter than Ben Askren. Woodley held the UFC Welterweight Championship for almost three years, and he recorded seven knockouts in that time. He won the belt with a first-round knockout of Robbie Lawler at UFC 201, and he was able to successfully defend that title against three separate opponents before losing to current champion Kamaru Usman.

Woodley was 19-7-1 in his MMA career. However, he ended his UFC career with four straight losses. After his loss to Kamaru Usman, he lost a unanimous decision to Gilbert Burns and then suffered a rib injury in a loss to Colby Covington last September. His last fight saw him submitted by Vicente Luque in the first round at UFC 260.

Although Woodley’s background is in wrestling, he is more of a striker than Askren. This fight was set up as Askren and Woodley were training partners, and there was a bit of a ruckus between Woodley and Paul prior to the last fight. Woodley has the best chance of any opponent yet to stop Paul in his tracks, and he will be out to avenge his teammate.
