Errol Spence Jr. vs. Terence Crawford Boxing Betting

The last week of July looks like it will be the best week of boxing this year by a wide margin. Three-division world champion Naoya Inoue will look to add a fourth title to his résumé when he takes on Stephen Fulton on Tuesday, July 25, in Japan, and the fight everyone has been waiting for will finally take place as Terence Crawford will face Errol Spence in Sin City on Saturday, July 29. Crawford (39-0 with 30 knockouts) is the current WBO welterweight champion and is considered the best pound-for-pound boxer in the world by many observers. Spence (28-0 with 22 knockouts) is seen as a top five active boxer in most minds and holds the rest of the welterweight titles. The winner of this fight will be the first undisputed welterweight champion in the four-belt era.

Terence Crawford is a slight favorite by the boxing betting odds over Errol Spence Jr. in this massive welterweight showdown that is being billed as “Undefeated. Undisputed. Unprecedented.” This potential fight of the year will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2023,d from Las Vegas, and it will be available via ShowTime PPV. Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford Betting Odds

Errol Spence Jr. +131

Terence Crawford -165

This is going to be one of the most hotly contested title fights of the year. The oddsmakers have pegged Crawford as a slight favorite by the boxing betting lines, but Spence certainly has a good shot of winning on Saturday night.

As the fight nears, there will be decision betting too. You will be able to bet on whether the fight is decided by KO, TKO, or decision, and you can bet on which boxer will win the fight in that fashion as well.

Errol Spence Jr. vs Terence Crawford Preview

Three-division world champion Terence Crawford has knocked out every opponent he has faced for the last seven years. The last fighter to go the distance with Crawford was Viktor Postol in a light welterweight title unification fight back in July 2016, but no one has been able to withstand his power since the WBO welterweight champion moved up a class. Jose Benavidez Jr. came the closest to lasting a full 12 rounds against Crawford in the latter’s first title defense, but Crawford was able to eventually send him to the canvas for good.

Crawford has been very impressive, but his list of fallen foes isn’t as intimidating as you might think considering his status as a three-division world champion. His first big win didn’t come until his 24th fight when he knocked out Yuriorkis Gamboa in a lightweight title defense. He scored nice victories over Thomas Dulorme and Postol as a light welterweight, but the only two real strong opponents he has faced since winning the WBO welterweight belt have been Amir Khan and Shawn Porter.

Errol Spence Jr. has an advantage in that he has only fought as a welterweight since turning pro in November 2012. Spence won the IBF welterweight belt by knocking out Kell Brook, and he defended that title three times before fighting Shawn Porter in a partial unification fight. Porter gave Spence all he could handle, and the match was eventually ruled a split decision victory for Spence thanks in part to a knockdown in the 11th round.

Both Crawford and Spence have a considerable amount of power. There’s a decent chance this bout ends in a knockout, but there should be a good amount of action until that potential point. Crawford is two inches shorter than Spence, but he has a two-inch reach advantage. He is also two years older than Spence, but that shouldn’t play a big part in the proceedings. I’ll go with Crawford as a slight favorite.
