When Canelo Alvarez and Daniel Jacobs step into the T-Mobile Arena ring for their unification middleweight title fight there is the strong possibility of an epic clash. Both are acclaimed as the two best fighters in the middleweight class with Gennady Golovkin also in the conversation as a man that narrowly defeated Jacobs and lost to Canelo by a small margin. Alvarez is universally considered to be the best pound for pound boxer in the sport.

In fact, Canelo was able to handle everything that Golovkin had to offer. That bodes well for a matchup against Jacobs, who possesses the ability to knock out an opponent with one punch.
Canelo has superior counter punching ability that was best displayed in his win over Golovkin. As hard as Golovkin would come at Alvarez, Canelo would have a more devastating answer. Jacobs is a boxer that will go on offense, taking the attack with the idea of a knockout blow.
