2018-Boxing-Manny-Pacquiao-vs.-Lucas-Martin-Matthysse-Odds

Manny “Pac Man” Pacquiao is a throwback to when boxing was about larger than life personalities and name brand marquee men. As a result of Pacquiao being as much a celebrity as he is a boxer he attracts a considerable amount of public betting money that flows towards him whether its actually justified or not.

And that very well could be the case as Pacquiao will challenge current World Boxing Association World Welterweight champion Lucas Martin Matthysse. Matthysse is defending his championship for the first time and is the fight’s underdog despite his holding the title belt. To many observers this is all about name brand recognition favoring Pacquiao instead of the odds being based on the actual merits of the two boxers.
