Jose Ramirez will be making his first title defense for the World Boxing Council World Super Lightweight belt when he faces top contender Antonio Orozco. Further adding to the intrigue of this bout is the fact that fights between Top Rank and Golden Boy are rare occurrences although this is their second major pairing of the year after Vasiliy Lomachenko and Jorge Linares met for a lightweight championship bout back in May.
