NCAA Tournament National Championship Game Props

NCAA Tournament National Championship Game Props

The final game of the NCAA tournament is upon us. The matchup will shockingly pit the East Region No. 8 seeded North Carolina Tar Heels up against the Midwest Region No. 1 seeded Kansas Jayhawks. Bill Self’s kids have been getting a majority of the betting action at online sportsbooks with total bettors expecting points to hit the board. While it’s always a blast betting the more traditional sides, totals, and moneylines, why not break the game inside the game down a bit more and get involved in the props market as well? That’s what we’ll be doing in this piece looking for edges that hopefully allow for National Championship Game betting to be that much more thrilling and entertaining. The following is the player props I’ll be investing in for the last college basketball game of the 2021-22 season.

The title game is set to go down in the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, LA on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 9:20 p.m. ET. Bet on national championship props at BookMaker.eu!

Halftime/Fulltime: Tie/Kansas +2200

Going in it should be known that I believe Kansas cuts the nets down to win the program’s fourth national championship. As such, I have no qualms with offsetting this dart throw with a 2x sized bet on Kansas leading at halftime and also winning the game. By doing that, you greatly reduce the vigorish needed to back the Jayhawks on the full game money line -188 heading into the match. But with no guts there’s no glory, so let’s also put a 1x sized wager on this lottery ticket dart throw and look for the first half to play to a standoff. Should it come to fruition, you’ll have some serious hedging opportunities to guarantee some nice profit by utilizing in-game betting. You’d likely be able to free roll your way to a win at some point!

Remy Martin Over 11.5 Points

The former ASU Sun Devil has come into his own over the last month-plus. He said he chose to transfer to Kansas because he felt the team had a shot of winning a championship. Well Remy, your Nostradamus take on this team is one win away from coming true. With Remy very quiet coming off the bench in the last two wins over Miami (9 points) and Villanova (3 points), I’m thinking – really hoping – No. 11 will have saved his best for last. Before those two stinkers, Martin went for 10, 12, 15, 20, and 23 points. North Carolina’s defense isn’t the greatest, and it’s very susceptible to quick guards that can also shoot the 3-ball. Those are two main strengths of Remy’s game. I’m expecting for a huge showing from the transfer portal addition!

Jalen Wilson Over 8.5 Rebounds

Wilson has been the unheralded hero of the Jayhawks roster going on two months. The kids been nothing if not a double-double machine throughout this tournament having averaged 11.4 points and 10.8 rebounds against KU’s five NCAA tournament opponents. He’s logged double-doubles against Creighton, Providence, and Villanova. I’m highly doubtful UNC will have the wherewithal to prevent him from doing so a second straight time; especially with Armando Bacot’s rebounding prowess likely hampered by the ankle injury sustained late in the game against the Dookies. This kids playing with supreme confidence right now, and he’s been the glue that’s allowed for this team to excel like it has to this point of the season. If Bacot sits out or just isn’t himself, Wilson smashes this impost!

Brady Manek Over 2.5 3-Pointers

Like for many others, Manek frustrated his scoring prop backers against Duke failing to surpass his 16.5-point offering. Reason being; he did bupkus in the first half only to score 12 in the second to just come up short. That being said, he still went on to knock down three of his six attempted long range shots against the Blue Devils. In doing so, the former Oklahoma Sooner is 5 for 10, 4 for 8, 3 for 10, 4 for 6, and 3 for 6 from beyond the arc the five times he’s taken to the Big Dance hardwood. While Kansas possesses one of the better long range defenses in the country (No. 25), North Carolina is likely going to need to shoot its way back into this one and Manek is just the guy to get the job done. He’ll hit at least three shots from downtown for the sixth straight time in this tourney, but it still won’t be enough to lead UNC to the win.
