The total on this game is listed at 131.5. Both of these teams play really good defense so this should be a low scoring contest. San Diego State allowed just under 63 points per game this season which ranks in the Top 25 in the country in defense. Florida Atlantic wasn’t that far behind, as they allowed just over 65 points per contest. I think your prop bets on this game should be focused on the game going under the total. I don’t like the first half total, as it is listed at just 61, but I would definitely look at playing the second half under. And I also simply like taking the game total of 131.5 under the total.
Miami Hurricanes vs. Connecticut Huskies (Huskies -5.5, total 150)
The Huskies are listed as a solid favorite in the late game with the total listed at 150. Unlike the first game, I think this game will be a shootout. I think there are some options to consider for the total and I also think we have some props to look at for the side. Let’s start with the side. I think Connecticut is the right side in this game and I think laying the 3-points in the first half is worth a wager and then either taking the profit if that bet wins or coming back and doubling down with a halftime bet if that bet loses. I also like the first half over 70.5 and I would do the same thing with this bet and either take the profit if it wins or double down and play the second half over if the first half bet loses.
I also think there may be some value in the exact margin of victory. I don’t like Miami to win, but if they do, I think it will be on a last second shot. You can get +1400 on Miami to win by 1 or 2 points. If the Huskies win, I think they could easily win by double-digits. You can get +500 on them winning by 10-13, +950 on them winning by 14-16 and +1100 on them winning by 17-20.

I think there is some value on the top point scorer for Saturday. I think you can throw out the FAU-San Diego State game altogether, as that game looks to be low scoring and neither team is likely to have a player who explodes for a lot of points. The late game should be high scoring so we have five main players to choose from. The Huskies have two players who could easily be the leading scorer for Saturday in Adama Sonogo and Jordan Hawkins. The Hurricanes have Isaiah Wong, Nijel Pack and Jordan Miller. I think the Huskies will win this game so I will go with Sanogo at +550 and Hawkins at +650. If you want to throw a Miami player in there, I think I would choose Wong at +650.
