College Basketball Parlay Picks for Saturday, February 24, 2024

College Basketball Saturday, February 24, 2024 Parlay Picks

There are around 350 schools that play DI college basketball and it seems as though all of them are in action on Saturday, February 24, making a college basketball parlay easy and hard at the same time. It’s easy because there are a bunch of games to consider when placing a bet. And it’s difficult because you can’t possibly handicap that many contests in order to make an informed bet. So, what’s the answer? Well, I guess sticking to the name brands is one way of dealing with it since we know more about those squads than any other. Sticking with the major conferences is another way to tackle the conundrum.

The action gets started early with a Big 12 showdown between ranked foes No. 2 Houston and No. 12 Baylor. That contest tips at Noon ET on CBS. At 10 p.m. ET No. 19 San Diego State tangles with Fresno State in a Mountain West tilt. Five teams in the MWC have already reached the 20-win mark and another, Boise State, is a few wins shy of that mark. The league is arguably the best out west with five teams projected to be in the NCAA Tournament in a few weeks. From a betting standpoint league’s that tend to beat each other up are ones to avoid. With an outstanding schedule of games on Saturday there is plenty of College Basketball parlay value out there for us to take advantage of.

Saturday, February 24, 2024 - Four Team Parlay

Arizona ATS vs. Washington

Duke ATS at Wake Forest

Air Force at New Mexico OVER

Saint Mary’s ATS vs. San Diego

Bet $100 to win $1200

First off we have to find where the value is and there appears to be plenty with the Arizona Wildcats in their matchup with Washington. The Cats blasted rival Arizona State 105-60 last weekend for their sixth straight victory and third straight payout. What strikes me about this game is that ASU is similar in a lot of ways to Washington. And Arizona has had all kinds of success putting away middling teams. The Cats spotted ASU 18.5 points and they are 10-5 ATS when laying double figures. Arizona is the highest scoring team in DI averaging over 90 points with the ability to blitz opponents, which they could easily do against an overmatched Huskies squad.

Rivalry games are always tough and while this isn’t Duke’s biggest foe it’s one that stands out simply because of the proximity of the schools. With an overall record of 17-9 Wake Forest has been good enough to make the spread more manageable. And since a loss in The Rivalry game to UNC earlier this month the Dookies are 4-0 SU and ATS with one of those wins coming against the Demon Deacons on Feb. 12. Duke didn’t play its best shooting 28 percent from deep with 13 turnovers yet the Devils were able cover the 7-point line in the 77-69 triumph.

With both teams riding a heater against the OVER I’m sure oddsmakers will adjust, but betting on Air Force and New Mexico to play above the total is still a good play. The Lobos are one of the highest scoring teams in the country and dropped 85 on the Falcons in their earlier meeting cashing the OVER in that contest. NMSU has played over the total in its last five games while Air Force has gone above the total in 10 straight games.

With so many games on the schedule I had to pick a fourth to complete my college basketball parlay and landed on the San Diego at Saint Mary’s contest. Averaging more than 74 points is good, but the Gaels rose to the top of the WCC standings behind the No. 2 ranked scoring defense. SMC allows just 58 points per game holding half their opponents during a 14-game winning streak to below that number. Their stingy D helped the Gaels cover the spread in eight of their last 11 games and I’m betting they do it again.
