Two of the biggest brands and contenders in the Big East meet at the Fiserv Forum when #10 Marquette hosts #22 Creighton.

Creighton is 9-3 straight up, 7-5 against the spread, and 6-6 over/under the total. The Bluejays rank 38th for scoring offense and 84th for points allowed. Creighton has seen a visit from the Cooler with three straight failures ATS. Two of those games were straight-up losses (at UNLV and to Alabama). Baylor Scheierman leads the Jays with 18.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.

Marquette has also had cold dice with one payout in its last four games. The Golden Eagles are 10-3 straight up, 6-6-1 against the spread, and 4-9 under the total. Marquette ranks 104th for scoring offense and 74th for points allowed. Tyler Kolek leads Marquette with 15.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per contest.

Greg McDermott continues to put quality teams on the hardwood for Creighton and has a team facing its biggest expectations in a long time. Marquette coach Shaka Smart has found the perfect fit after being a fish out of water at Texas.

Creighton offers the most value as a quality road dog.

UCLA has been one of the biggest disappointments so far in the young college hoops season. The Bruins are 5-6 straight up, 3-7-1 against the spread, and 3-8 under the total. UCLA ranks an abysmal 317th for scoring offense but 14th for points allowed. Sebastian Mack leads UCLA with 15.2 points per game. The Bruins failed to get the money in their last five games.

For the first time in his tenure as UCLA head coach, Mick Cronin is presiding over a disappointing season.

Oregon is one of the hottest brands on the board, with five payouts in its last six games. The Ducks are 8-3 straight up, 7-4 against the spread, and 6-5 over the total. Oregon ranks 89th in the nation for scoring offense and 182nd for points allowed. Jermaine Couisnard leads the Ducks with 13.1 points per game.

Dana Altman gets lost in the shuffle in the Pacific Northwest, but the Oregon coach is one of the best in the country and has his program in position for a strong campaign.

UCLA is half a team with an offense that can’t keep pace. Oregon is the better and more reliable value.

It has been a difficult first season without longtime head coach and favorite son Bob Huggins for the West Virginia Mountaineers. The Mounties are 5-7 straight up, 5-7 against the spread, and 5-7 under the total. WVU got the cash in only two of its previous seven games. The Mountaineers rank 316th for scoring offense and 126th for points allowed. Quinn Slazinski leads WVU with 15.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are off to a strong start in what is a make-or-break year for head coach Chris Holtmann. Ohio State is 10-2 straight up, 6-6 against the spread, and 7-5 over the total. Ohio State ranks 82nd for scoring offense and 38th for points allowed. Bruce Thornton leads the Bucks with 17.4 points per game.

The lack of offensive production by West Virginia makes the more complete Ohio State team the sensible choice.
