Toronto Argonauts PredictionsCanadian Football Odds: There's only one team in Canada that actually predates the Grey Cup itself. The Toronto Argonauts have been around since 1883, and their success has been well-documented. They hold the record for the most Grey Cup titles in Canada's illustrious football history, and they're going to hope to get over a bit of a mini-slump in recent years when they take the field in 2017.

The Double Blue are coming off of a tough season in which they didn't get into the playoffs. Scott Milanovich is out the door, and in comes Marc Trestman with his great pedigree of coaching at this level. The combination of Trestman and Ricky Ray together should make this offense one of the more exciting in the CFL, though Drew Willy is definitely in play as the team's starter at some point as well if Ray gets hurt or starts to lose the inevitable battle to Father Time.

With Brandon Whitaker coming back and S.J. Green coming over from Montreal, there's a good sense that things are going to improve this season in Toronto.

That said, this is a franchise that is still in a bit of limbo. You'd like to think that a rebuild would be complete with letting Ray go and bringing in a younger quarterback to compete for the future. Instead, the Argos are sticking with their guns and trying their best to build via free agency and aggressive trades in the first year of the Trestman era, trying to take advantage of an incredibly weak East Division.

Though the Argonauts have the record for the most Grey Cup titles won, a lot of that is a bit on the deceiving side. Ten of their 16 Grey Cup titles came before the CFL was even formed. That said, the Boatmen had inarguably the best run in the history of the IRFU, the league that merged to form the CFL. They won five Grey Cups in a span of eight years in that league. That said, they had to go from 1952 through 1983 without a championship.

The 2010s largely haven't been kind to the Argos. They did win the 2012 Grey Cup, but they have won just one other playoff game dating back to 2006. Toronto has had just one season with more than 10 wins since 2007 and hasn't won more than 11 regular season games since winning the Grey Cup in 1997.
