The 2024 U.S. Presidential Election has already seen a number of twists and turns and more are likely before November. Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt and current President Joe Biden dropped out of the race. Current Vice President Kamala Harris is now in the pole position to win the Democrat nomination but nothing is official until after the Democrat convention in August. It was thought that Harris would be too unpopular for the Democrats to put her at the top of the Presidential ticket, but maybe they have no other choice. The problem for the Democrats is that they don’t have many other good options. Harris is not only incompetent, but she is unlikable, but Democrats don’t have anyone who they are getting behind to challenge Harris. Maybe that will change, but for now, Harris is the favorite on the Democrat side.

On the Republican side, things are more stable, as the Republican nominee is former President Donald Trump. He won the Republican nomination and chosen as the nominee in the Republican convention in July. It is worth nothing, however, that Trump is not a guarantee to make it to November. He has legal troubles that could be an issue and he already has had to survive an assassination attempt. If Trump is unable to run then it may end up being Republican Vice President nominee J.D. Vance that gets the nomination.
