The 12th event of the 14-event LIV season takes place from Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24 in Chicago, Illinois with Cameron Smith listed as the LIV Golf betting favorite. The LIV Golf Chicago event will once again be a 54-hole event with normal scoring and no cut and also include team play. This will be the second time that LIV Golf plays at Chicago, as Cameron Smith won the tournament a year ago. Two tournaments are left in the 2023 LIV regular season that will determine the Individual Champion and determine the seeds for the Team Championship event. The top 24 players in points are guaranteed a spot to play next year, while those players who finish in 45th place or lower in total points are relegated out of the league. The latest LIV Golf winner is Cameron Smith who won by a record seven shots in Bedminster, the largest winning margin in LIV history. Smith’s Ripper GC team is coming off their first win, becoming the eighth different team to win an LIV Golf event. Smith leads the individual standings by 21 points over Talor Gooch, while 4Aces GC leads Torque GC by nine points. There will be 48 players in the field competing for $20 million with $4 million going to the winner. There will also be team play with $3 million going to the winning team. Five teams, 4Aces GC, Torque GC, Stinger GC, Crushers GC and RangeGoats GC are still mathematically alive for one of the top four seeds which would mean a first-round bye in the season-ending team event.

Rich Harvest Farms is a private golf course located near Sugar Grove, Illinois which is about 50 miles west of downtown Chicago. It was built in 1989 and expanded in 1999. The course hosted the LIV Golf Chicago event in 2022 which was won by Cameron Smith (individual) and 4Aces GC (team). The 17th hole, which is a par 3, will feature amphitheater-style seating, a live DJ, walk-up music, and introductions by public address announcer Ray Clay.
