As recently as May 2018, Crawford held the distinction of being ranked as the world’s second-best active pound for pound boxer by the Boxing Writers Association of America, the Transnational Boxing Rankings Board, The Ring, ESPN and BoxRec. Beyond that Crawford was named Fighter of the Year by the Boxing Writers Association in 2014. ESPN bestowed the same honor upon Crawford in both 2014 and 207.
Crawford is the closest thing to a major league “franchise” in the city of Omaha, Nebraska where he still resides as a local hero.
Amir Khan is a native of England and has fought in multiple weight classes and is a past champion in his own right. Khan held the unified light welterweight championship from 2009 through 2012 and the International Boxing Federation title in 2011. He is also known as a TV star that has appeared in both game shows and reality TV.
