This week Del Mar will take center stage with a phenomenal Saturday of Horse Racing action. Consider that on Saturday, Del Mar will offer two Grade 1 races with the Horse racing odds. And then there is another elite track that will also offer world class racing. Saratoga will have Grade 1 races on both Saturday and Sunday. Such schedules are an example as to why these two tracks are among the most popular in the sport. Let’s now take a look at the highlights of this week’s schedule from tracks across North America!

Del Mar- Del Mar, California – Saturday and Sunday

Saturday is as good as it gets at Del Mar with 11 total races and five features. Most important of all two of those races are Grade 1 events. First is the $250,000 Del Mar Oaks followed by the TVG Pacific Classic which is worth $500,000. Sunday will have 10 more races on the card featuring the Grade 2 Del Mar Mile.

First place in the Del Mar jockey standings is Flavien Prat with over $1.6 million in winnings. Prat has 117 starts vs. the Horse Betting Odds with 27 wins, 29 second, and 15 third place finishes.

The second place jockey at Del Mar is Abel Cedillo with over $1.2 million in earnings. Cedillo has 150 starts with 19 wins, 22 second, and 28 third place finishes.

Third place belongs to Umberto Rispoli with over $1.2 million in earnings. Overall, Rispoli has 111 starts with 28 wins, 14 second, and 15 third place finishes.

Saratoga – Saratoga Springs, New York – Saturday and Sunday

Saturday brings a total of 11 races on the Saratoga card. The $400,000 Grade 1 Fourstardave Handicap is the marquee event. Following on Sunday is another 11-race event with the $500,000 Grade 1 Diana Stakes getting top billing.

First place in the Saratoga jockey standings is Irad Ortiz Jr. with over $3.1 million in earnings. Ortiz has 183 starts with 39 wins, 34 second, and 24 third place finishes.

In second place is Jose L. Ortiz with over $2.5 million in earnings. Ortiz has 166 starts with 38 wins, 31 seconds, and 20 third place finishes.

While in third place at Saratoga is Joel Rosario with over $2.2 million in winnings. Rosario has 152 starts with 30 wins, 25 second, and 26 third place finishes.

Monmouth Park – Oceanport, New Jersey – Saturday and Sunday

For Saturday there are 10 races scheduled at Monmouth. On that day the $200,000 Grade 3 Philip H. Iselin Stakes is the feature. Sunday will bring 10 more races to Monmouth with the $75,000 Get Serious Stakes as the main event.

Woodbine – Rexdale, Ontario – Saturday and Sunday

Saturday features 11 races on the Woodbine card with the biggest of the day being the $100,000 Eternal Search Stakes. Sunday has 10 more races scheduled with the Catch A Glimpse Stakes and Soaring Free Stakes topping the card. Both races are worth $100,000.

Gulfstream Park – Hallandale, Florida – Saturday and Sunday

10 races are on the Gulfstream Offshore betting schedule both Saturday and Sunday.

Laurel Park – Laurel, Maryland – Saturday

Laurel Park will bring 10 races to the Saturday schedule.

Delaware Park – Wilmington, Delaware – Saturday

There are 10 races on the Saturday Delaware slate.

Prairie Meadows - Altoona, Iowa – Saturday and Sunday

Nine races are on the Saturday and Sunday Prairie Meadows cards.

Arlington Park - Arlington Heights, Illinois – Saturday

There are eight races on the Saturday card at Arlington Park.
