Football Betting Online: The New England Liberty are one of the expansion teams in the Legends Football League, as they're bringing indoor football back to the New England area for the first time in quite some time.
The Liberty will be wearing uniforms which closely resemble those of the New England Patriots. This is a tactic which a number of the LFL teams have used over the years, but what makes this so interesting is the fact that the Liberty aren't playing in Massachusetts. Granted, Massachusetts isn't the only state in the area of the country known as New England, but it's almost a bit of a surprise to see the club playing in New Hampshire.
Still, the New England area craves football, and without any other indoor teams of note, the LFL makes sense as a way to fill that void for the few thousand diehard fans who need any form of pigskin they can get.
The home games for the Liberty will be played at Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester.
The biggest issue the Liberty are going to have in their first year is the same problem so many expansion teams have in the LFL. These ladies might be talented, but hardly any of them have ever stepped onto a football field for a competitive game before. Quarterback Alex Drake, for example, wasn't a football player when she was recruited to play for the Liberty. Instead, she's a softball player by trade and is learning her craft as she goes.
Considering the fact that the quarterback position is so important in any form of football, this could be trying for the Liberty. Expect to see them struggle to get points on the board in their first season, and staying competitive in games is about all anyone could reasonable ask for out of them in 2016.
