2020 PNC Championship
A popular event during the month of December for many players that is not part of the PGA Tour schedule is the PNC Championship. This event began as a father/son tournament, but it has evolved into a father/relative tournament recently. The first event was held in 1995 when ten major winners played with their sons. The tournament now has 20 major champions playing with their relatives for a total purse of just over $1 million dollars. The event is played over two days and 36 holes in a scramble format. Bernhard Langer and his son Jason are the defending champions. The 2020 PNC Championship will be held on from Saturday, December 19 through Sunday, December 20.

The 2020 PNC Championship will feature a number of big name players, including Justin Thomas who will be teamed up with his dad, Mike. The field will include players with a combined 49 Major titles and almost 100 pro wins. In addition to Thomas, the field includes Gary Player, Greg Norman, Lee Janzen, Tom Kite, John Daly, Mark O’Meara, Retief Goosen, Tom Lehman, Vijay Singh, Mark Calcavecchia, Jim Furyk, Matt Kuchar, David Duval and Annika Sorenstam.
Thomas is excited to be playing with his dad. “I can’t think a better way to close out my golfing year than playing with my dad against so many of the world’s greatest golfers and their families. It will be a perfect way to finish before the Christmas break, and we are both very excited to make our debut in Orlando!”
