Many of the world’s top players compete at the Hero World Challenge so it is no surprise to see marquee names on the list of winners. Tiger hosts this event and his name is the most frequent on the list but he has not played as well recently, as you have to go back to 2011 for the last time he won this tournament.

It is no surprise that Woods has dominated this event considering he is the tournament host. Tiger seems to be healthy again, so it is possible he adds to his win total in the future. McDowell and Love have each won this event twice but both players are well past their prime and unlikely to win this event in the future.

The winning scores in recent years have been excellent in this event. Spieth set the record in 2014 by shooting 26-under par, as he won by a ridiculous margin of 10 shots. The winning score of 18-under par by Matsuyama in 2016 was nowhere near the 26-under shot by Spieth but it should be noted that in 2015 it was Bubba Watson just one off the record shot by Spieth, as Watson shot 25-under par.
