X-Factor Betting OddsReality TV Betting Online: Simon Cowell has had his fingerprints all over the reality television scene for going on two decades both in the United States and in the United Kingdom. One of his great inventions was The X Factor, a show which debuted in the U.K. and came over to the United States for three seasons from 2011 through 2013. Since then, the X Factor has exploded all over the world and has been run in dozens of countries internationally.

In America, Cowell was a judge on the show with other pop stars such as Britney Spears, L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul and Demi Lovato.

The X-Factor U.S. brought us winning stars, Melanie Amaro, Tate Stevens and Alex & Sierra. The show also had a Spanish version, El Factor X which ran for just one season in 2013 on FOX's Spanish station, MundoFOX.

Even though the show didn't stick in the United States, it's still going strong in England. Cowell was a judge on the show at the beginning in 2004 through the seventh season in 2011. When he announced he was going to be starting up the program in the United States, a move which corresponded with his departure from American Idol, he left Britain without Nicole Scherzinger and others to judge. Scherzinger was a judge both in England and in the United States. When The X Factor was cancelled in the United States, Cowell went back to do the show in England, and he's been there ever since. The upcoming series of The X Factor in Great Britain will be the 13th in the series.

The X Factor isn't dissimilar to American Idol in that there are open auditions and a vetting process of acts from recorded auditions to live performances. The difference between American Idol and The X Factor is that both individuals and groups can audition.
