New Orleans Saints vs. Buffalo Bills TNF Week 12 Lines

Saints vs. Bills TNF Week 12 Betting

Two teams that were thought of as sure playoff teams, but have struggled recently, meet on Thursday Night, as the Buffalo Bills visit the New Orleans Saints. It was just a few weeks ago that the Bills were thought to be one of the top teams in the NFL but Buffalo has dropped two of three games and they now trail New England in the AFC East. The Saints were considered a threat to Tampa Bay in the NFC South but New Orleans has now dropped three in a row and if the playoffs started today, they would be on the outside. The Bills are listed as road favorites in this Thanksgiving night contest. Let’s look at this game and Thursday night NFL picks.

Buffalo Bills -4.5

New Orleans Saints +4.5

Total 46

Buffalo Bills

The Bills come into this game at 6-4 SU and 5-4-1 ATS with five games going over the total and five going under. The Bills are 3-2 on the road this season. It is really inexplicable that Buffalo has lost four games this season considering their overall numbers. Buffalo is averaging 29.5 points per game, 2nd in the league. They are putting up 391.7 yards per contest. The Buffalo defense is 2nd in the league, allowing 17.6 points per game and they lead the league in fewest yards allowed at 283.7 per contest. Devin Singletary leads the team in rushing with 415 yards, Josh Allen has thrown for 2,811 yards and Stefon Diggs leads the team in receiving yards with 773.

New Orleans Saints

The Saints are 5-5 SU and 5-5 ATS with six games going over the total and four going under. New Orleans is 2-2 at home this season. The Saints are averaging 25.1 points per game which is 14th in the league. They are averaging just 321.3 yards per contest. The Saints are giving up just 21.8 points per game which is 10th in the NFL. The one weakness for New Orleans on defense is against the pass, as they are just 22nd in the league, allowing 252.2 yards per game.

Alvin Kamara leads the team in rushing yards with 530, Jameis Winston still leads the team with 1,170 passing yards even though he is out for the year, while Deonte Harris leads the team with 418 receiving yards.

Thursday Night NFL Picks

The Bills and Saints have not played since 2017 when it was New Orleans winning 47-10 in Buffalo. The Saints have won and covered each of the last five games against the Bills with three of the five going under.

It is hard to understand what happened to the Bills two weeks ago against Jacksonville and last week against the Colts. It is no surprise what has happened to the Saints, as they are simply not that good. Trevor Siemian is a backup quarterback and while he can make a few plays here and there he is not someone you trust to lead your team to the playoffs. New Orleans doesn’t have a lot of offensive weapons other than Kamara and while their defense is good, it is not great.

This game has all the looks of a Buffalo win. The Bills have the better offense, the better defense and they should have no problem playing on the road in New Orleans. Buffalo should take advantage of the fast track and Josh Allen figures to have a huge night. I will lay the points and take the Bills in this Thursday night contest.
