Boxing Betting Lines: If you’re looking for the best advice for boxing betting, you’ve certainly come to the right place. Here at Bookmaker sportsbook we’re previewing the middleweight title fight between Gennady Golovkin and David Lemieux on October 17th, 2015, at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York.
Gennady Golovkin is the best middleweight boxer in the world, and he will aim to add another championship belt to his extensive resume in a fight against David Lemieux on October 17th, 2015. The pair will face off at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan, New York as Golovkin puts his WBA, IBO and WBC middleweight belts on the line while Lemieux risks his IBF title. Golovkin should be a sizable favorite based on his dominance as a fighter in boxing betting.
Gennady Golovkin has a career record of 33-0 with 30 knockouts and is one of the best boxers in the world. He picked up the interim WBA middleweight championship belt with a first-round knockout of Milton Nunez on August 14th, 2010, and has added accolades ever since. Golovkin has successfully defended his title in 14 straight bouts. He picked up the vacant IBO middleweight belt with a first-round knockout of Lajuan Simon on December 9th, 2011, and then the interim WBC middleweight title by defeating Marco Antonio Rubio with a second-round knockout on October 18th, 2014. Golovkin has knocked off Martin Murray and Willie Monroe, Jr. in his two most recent bouts, each by knockout. In fact, Golovkin has won every single one of his title fights by knockout. He’s only recorded three victories by decision, all unanimous, with the most recent of which coming against Amar Amari on June 21st, 2008.
David Lemieux will aim to upset Golovkin, although it will be a tough order. He is a knockout artist himself, as Lemieux has a career record of 34-2 with 31 of those victories by knockout. However, having two losses on his resume is a bit concerning going up against a fighter as talented as Golovkin. Lemieux enters this bout on a nine-fight winning streak. He captured the IBF middleweight title last time out with a unanimous decision over Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam on June 20th, 2015. Lemieux won some lower-level titles earlier in his career and started 25-0, but then suffered back-to-back losses to Marco Antonio Rubio and Joachim Alcine in 2011.
Lemieux has gotten his career back on track of late and gets a huge opportunity here. However, Golovkin has been so dominant throughout his career that he must be considered a sizable favorite to take care of business and unify the middleweight belts in boxing betting.
