He defended the belt twice before losing to Pacquiao in the rematch. Bradley started his career with 31 straight wins. The current world champion also has victories over other champions like Juan Manuel Márquez and Devon Alexander.

Brandon Rios has a record of 33-2-1. He has defeated 24 opponents by knockout. Rios has won two in a row coming into this fight against Bradley with his most recent coming against Mike Alvarado on January 24th where he won the vacant WBO International welterweight title after Alvarado retired in the third round. He also defeated Diego Gabriel Chaves in August 2014 after Chaves was disqualified for an intentional elbow to the face. The 29-year-old made his professional debut in 2004 and started his career with 31-0-1 before suffering his first loss of his career to Mike Alvarado in March 2013 where he fell by unanimous decision. He also lost by decision to Manny Pacquiao in November 2013. Rios captured his first boxing belt, the vacant NABF Lightweight title, in 2010 with a third-round technical knockout win over Jorge Teron. Since then, the Texas native has also held the WBA Lightweight title and the WBO Light Welterweight title.
