With his career in peril, Hunt reeled off four consecutive victories to get back in the heavyweight conversation. He defeated Roy Nelson by second-round knockout on September 20th, 2014, to set up a shot at the interim UFC heavyweight title, but Hunt was defeated by Fabricio Werdum on November 15th, 2014. Hunt was then defeated by Stipe Miocic before rebounding last time out with a first-round knockout of Antonio Silva on November 15th, 2015.
