Michael Johnson vs. Justin Gaethje
Johnson is 17-11 in his career but he has lost three of his last four fights including a defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 205 in November. Gaethje comes into this bout unbeaten at 17-0 but relatively untested, as he comes over from the World Series of Fighting.
Johnson said in the news conference for this event that he has no respect for Gaethje. “I’m here to win this title and I’m not here to welcome guys from the C-league in here. But at the same time, yeah, of course I’m going to welcome him into the UFC and it’s not going to be a good night for him. I’ve got two months to get prepared to take somebody’s life in this cage. I’m not trying to beat him up, I’m not trying to win by decision or a point – I’m literally going to try to take this man’s life. And if you’re not ready to die, don’t show up.”
Gaethje said he welcomes the brawl with Johnson. “I’m the most violent lightweight on this planet, and I will prove that.” Gaethje said, “You will find out. It’s going to be a march, a march to deep water, baby, and you’re not going to last. You can’t swim in this water.”
The problem for Gaethje is that he hasn’t face anywhere near the competition that Johnson has faced. Gaethje also admitted recently on MMA hour that he is going to get knocked out. “I’ll promise you that I will get knocked out here in the next, like, 10 fights, because it’s a game of freakin’ centimeters and fractions of seconds.”

Diakiese comes into this fight unbeaten at 12-0, including 3-0 in the UFC, while Klose is 6-0-1, including 1-0 in the UFC.

Brad Tavares vs. Elias Theodorou
