Aside from Rafael Nadal getting bounced out of the first round of the Australian Open, for the most part, the major chalk has held up on the men's side of the draw.There's still a ton left to be decided in the final week of this tournament though, in spite of the fact that the odds haven't changed a ton.... 

The first major of the year is coming up on its halfway point, and we really don't have any more clarity now on the women's side of the Australian Open draw than we did at the outset of the tournament.... 

The first major tournament of 2016 will kick off "Down Under" at the Australian Open.Surprises are always abound early and often in this tournament, but when the dust finally settles, it's often the big name players who are the ones in the running to win the Aussie Open.... 

Novak Djokovic has made a living out of being a heavy favorite in matches like these against some of the top men's tennis players in the world. He'll have a shot to win his third Grand Slam title of the year and his tenth in his career on Sunday against Roger Federer at the U.S. Open men's final.... 

The Rogers Cup won't quite have the same sort of draw of the Grand Slam events, but it is one of the most prestigious events of the summer on the ATP and WTA Tournaments.... 

At the outset of Wimbledon this year, bettors and tennis fans alike had to be smiling at the prospects of seeing the man with the most Wimbledon titles, Roger Federer against the best tennis player in the world at the moment, Novak Djokovic in the final. That's exactly how the bracket has played out, as No. 1 will play No. 2 on Sunday at the All-England Club.... 

History will tell you that Wimbledon is a tough tournament to win, knowing that there are a lot of upsets caused by the grass surface.
Through one round of the third major of the year, there are only a few of the top players who are already out, but we have yet to see a major shakeup in the odds at the top of the tourney.... 

Day 4 at the French Open is in the books, and many of the top players in the world have already made it through at least one, and if some cases, two matches.The French Open odds haven't changed all that much through these opening rounds, though there is a clearer path for some going forward at this point which could present good value.... 

WHAT TO KNOWDespite slipping to No.7, Rafael Nadal is still a strong contender to once-again repeat as champion at Roland Garros. Even his fellow players agree, noting that the ranking policy for the French Open should allow for a higher ranking for him, taking his success there into consideration much like Wimbledon does.... 

The summer might be a slower time for sports betting, but for those who are seeking niche sports to wager on, the French Open might be perfect for you. We're officially right on the cusp of the most important time of year for tennis bettors, as the French Open and Wimbledon are separated by just a few weeks....
