Odds Analysis

Goals could be at a premium in a match where both teams are surely more interested in keeping the ball out of the back of their own net than putting it in the opposition's. The total in this fixture is set at 2.5, but the vig on the under of -163 is certainly notable.

Normally, Chelsea would be an odds-on favorite at home against just about anyone. In this case, though, the Blues are barely favored at +145 over a United side that sits second on the table and five points adrift of Manchester City.

Key Injuries

Conte has a lot of excuses right now for why the Blues are struggling so much, but injuries aren't one among them. N'Golo Kante is likely going to miss this match, and he'll join Victor Moses on the touchline if that's the case. Aside from that, the Italian is spoiled for his choices in his Starting XI.

Manchester United has plenty of question marks for this week. Michael Carrick has a strange illness that no one can seem to figure out. He didn't play against CSKA Moscow in the Champions League this week, and there's a fear that his dizzy spells could keep him out longer. Marouane Fellaini, Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba are all various degrees of questionable for the Red Devils while Marcos Rojo is surely out with a knee injury until January.

Recent Form

Manchester United has now gone three matches without allowing a goal since losing to Huddersfield. The Red Devils were fantastic in a 2-0 win in the UCL on Tuesday against Benfica, a victory that assured their progression into the knockout rounds. Man U has picked up four wins in five matches across all competitions, though it should be noted that it is just 1-1-1 in its last three in the Premier League since blowing out Crystal Palace at the end of September.

Chelsea has to find a way to pick itself up off the mat at this point. The Blues were crushed 3-0 by AS Roma in the Champions League on Tuesday night, a horrid result for a team that could have really cemented its spot in the knockout rounds of this tournament. Chelsea had won its three prior games, but it's hard to say that this team has been all that impressive in those victories.

Thibaut Courtois is on the record saying that this is a match that has to be won. Unfortunately for both teams, this really looks like it's going to be a dull draw.

The Red Devils have a history of parking the bus on the road against these top teams. They're merely going to try to steal a goal against the Chelsea defense, a unit that has had a massive problem over the course of the last several weeks.

Mourinho will be perfectly fine walking out of his old home with a point, and we think the price on this draw is just too good to pass on.

English Premier League Odds: Chelsea 0, Manchester City 0
