Arsenal have turned things around after a tough start to the season. The Gunners began the year with back-to-back losses, but they have since rallied to win three in a row. This week, the plan is to keep the momentum going against Everton. The Toffees have been decimated by injury in recent weeks, and they have plummeted down the table. That gives Arsenal a good chance to win its fourth straight match and potentially move into the top four.

Odds Analysis
Everton got off to a strong start this year. The Toffees picked up a result in each of their first four matches despite having players sent off in two of those matches. However, the red card suspensions and injuries led to most of their starters being out last week against West Ham. Unsurprisingly, the Hammers thumped Everton in Goodison Park, dealing the Toffees their first loss of the year.
It’s never easy to take on Manchester City and Chelsea, and it’s even more difficult when those are your first two games with a new manager. Arsenal knew that 0-2 was a definitely possibility to start the year, but the Gunners have since bounced back nicely. They have secured wins over West Ham, Cardiff City, and Newcastle in their last three games and notched a win over Vorskla Poltava in Europa League action on Thursday.
Key Injuries
The Toffees have seven people on the injury list coming into this match. That’s a lot, but it’s significantly less than the 12 players that were on this list last week. James McCarthy, Andre Gomes, Phil Jagielka, and Beni Baningime have all been declared out for this match already. Meanwhile, Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina, and Michael Keane are seen as unlikely to play.
Arsenal have four long-term injuries to note. Laurent Koscielny, Carl Jenkinson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, and Sead Kolasinac continue to be out due to injury. Konstantinos Mavropanos has been scratched as well, but he is a recent addition to this list and there is no timetable for his return. Aaron Ramsey seems likely to play though, and that will give the Gunners a boost.
Player to Watch
The last time these teams met, it was a coming out party for Arsenal’s newest addition, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Aubameyang teamed up with former Dortmund teammate Henrikh Mkhitaryan early and often, and the two didn’t look like they had missed a beat. Arsenal flourished as a result of the reunion and thrashed Everton 5-1.
Aubameyang has had his ups and downs since that point, but he notched a brace against Vorskla and is looking to carry that form into this bout.
Prop Bet of the Game – Arsenal team total over 2.5 at +120
Coming into this match, the Gunners have tallied 12 goals over their last four games. Arsenal have proven that they can score under new manager Unai Emery, and they are once again looking like a team that will thrash other mid-level clubs. The Gunners don’t have a great goal scorer like Harry Kane or Mo Salah, but they make up for that with options. Arsenal can attack in a number of ways, and that makes them tough to defend.

Over the last few years, Arsenal have dominated their tilts with Everton. The Gunners have won seven of the last eight matches between these two clubs, and the oddsmakers have made them heavy favorites on the EPL betting line in this one. I expect Arsenal to have little trouble getting past an Everton team that is still battered and bruised.
English Premier League Odds: Arsenal 3, Everton 1
