The fates for Argentina and Bolivia are already settled in Group D, so don't be surprised if the final match the two will play in the group stage looks more like a friendly than a competitive fixture.

ODDS ANALYSIS

The Argentines have been awfully impressive thus far in Copa America, and the betting line in this game shows just that. They're favored by a whopping -800 mark, a spread of 2.5 goals on the Asian Handicap. It's understandable for sure, but it's lofty as well, especially with literally nothing on the line to play for. The total has to be high because of the spread, but that 3.5 and -130 vig on the under is certainly up there.

TOURNAMENT UPDATE

Thanks to the 5-0 win over Panama on Friday night, Argentina has cleared itself into the last eight at Copa America. Barring a loss in this match parlayed with a massive win by Chile or Panama in the other match in Group D, the Argentines will represent Group D as the winner and will ultimately head into the knockout rounds against the second place team in Group C.

Bolivia meanwhile, was eliminated on Friday when it was beaten 2-1 by Chile. The Bolivians have had it rough, losing relatively late on against both Panama and Chile. Had even one of the matches been drawn, it would still be alive in this tournament.

LIVE BETTING

The thing Argentina has to be careful of in this match is not allowing too many set piece opportunities. The Bolivians have been dangerous over the course of this whole tournament against the run of play on set pieces, and one only needs to look at the wonder strike by Jhasmani Campos to see just how dangerous he can be. His free kick into the top corner in the 61st minute against Chile was a real warning sign to the rest of the tournament. It's too bad that Bolivia still has no points to show for its work in Copa America.

Argentina will almost certainly let Lionel Messi rest after not starting him in either of his first two matches thanks to an injury he picked up at the end of the club season playing for Barcelona.

However, it's not like Messi hasn't had his impact on Copa America. He came on in the second half against Panama in a game which badly needed a spark, and he provided it, scoring in the 68th, 78th and 87th minutes.

QUICK PICK

Argentina is the easy pick to make in this game, but we just can't do so knowing that it can't play its top side with nothing on the line and a quarterfinal match coming against likely Venezuela on Saturday in Foxboro.

Bolivia might be the worst of the South American teams in this field, but it has held its own for the most part. Asking it to only lose this match by one or two isn't out of the discussion, especially if Juan Arce plays up to his capability in attack.

Look for the Bolivians to play inspired ball in spite of the fact that they have nothing to play for, and though they'll end up getting beaten again, they won't be embarrassed like this spread suggests they will.
