NFL Week 12 Parlay Picks

Did I mention at any point during the NFL season that hitting a multi-team parlay is probably the hardest thing to do when wagering on football? I’m sure I did because it’s true and if you’ve ever played a parlay you know exactly what I’m talking about. It’s hard enough to get a single game winning ticket but having to win multiple games only increases the odds of losing. The silver lining behind it all is the much bigger payout, which in a way is the carrot on the end of the stick. Instead of suggesting teams to use in a parlay, I played a four-teamer last week and judging by the tone of the opener you probably have a good idea how that went.

I hit at least two winners among my four picks in every week so I’m close. But as you know every pick has to win in order to get a payout. Picking a favorite to back should be the easy part, but it hasn’t been. We’ve seen three double-digit underdogs prevail over the previous few weeks reminding us anything can happen. Week 11 was more subdued with 11 of the 14 games seeing the favorite come out on top. And of those 11 winners eight of them covered the spread. The teams that lost outright all did so at home while laying a field goal or less on the closing line.

Both my favorites won outright with Washington handing me a 23-10 win on the moneyline over Houston. I had Baltimore -12.5 but the Ravens couldn’t solve Carolina’s leaky defense scoring just two field goals over the first three and a half quarters. A Lamar Jackson TD gave me hope but nothing more transpired. I also split my underdog picks nailing the Raiders as one of three dogs to win outright. It wasn’t much of a leap against the struggling Broncos. I also backed the Chargers in their home tilt with Kansas City and looked good when Justin Herbert’s scoring pass gave LA the lead with under two minutes remaining. Patrick Mahomes is the best for a reason, though, driving for a game-winning score with 31 ticks left. I’ll move ahead and try to identify some parlay winners for Week 12 of the NFL season.

Parlay Card Favorites

Favorites on the NFL betting line had their best showing in some time going 11-3 SU and 8-6 ATS in Week 11. Maybe they’re trying to make it easier for us to get a piece of the parlay right. We have seen some big upsets in past weeks, though, so don’t get too confident with your picks. Are there any teams laying points on the Week 12 schedule that stand out? Let’s take a look.

Since adding Christian McCaffrey to a stable of playmakers the San Francisco 49ers have become a threat in the NFC. They dismantled Arizona Monday night in Mexico and I don’t see them having a problem with the Saints on Sunday. They are costly on the moneyline at -460 so instead I’ll lay the 9.5-points against a team that has issues at quarterback and in the secondary. I like the Saints, but they are going through a transition period.

Baltimore did enough last week to beat Carolina but their offensive struggles have them as a 4-point favorite against Jacksonville. Defensively the Ravens are finding their mojo and I don’t see Trevor Lawrence having a big game against them giving me plenty of confidence to back Baltimore at -185 on the moneyline.

Parlay Card Underdog

It was not a good time for underdogs last week with only three winning outright. And backing the plus-odds on the moneyline increases the payout on a winning ticket. There are upsets every week in the NFL it’s just identifying which dog is going to bark the loudest. Three teams are catching double-digits on the betting line while two others are listed at +9.5. Which of those dogs give us the best chance to boost the bottom line?

Whatever Dallas does is viewed through a microscope. So, crushing Minnesota last week on the road certainly got people talking. And because of it I think they’re overvalued for their showdown with the Giants. New York’s performance last week also had something to do with that, but the Giants are still tied with Dallas two-games behind Philly in the NFC East at 7-3. I can see NY putting up a winning fight against the overconfident Cowboys and at +400 on the moneyline are solid.

The Titans have been looking forward to this game since the schedule came out. They get a home tilt with the Bengals, who knocked Tennessee out of the playoffs last season Revenge is a great motivator and the Titans will be geeked as a 2-point home dog and +112 on the moneyline.
