Sands Bethlehem Event Center, PA

Marcelo Matano +1700

Julian Williams -5000

TV: Showtime, 10 p.m. ET

Junior middleweight contender Julian Williams can finally earn the title shot he’s been seeking in his eliminator bout against Matano this Saturday. The 25-year old Philadelphian has yet to taste defeate in 22 fights and is coming off a first-round KO of fringe contender Luciano Cuello. If you’ve never heard of Marcelo Matano, join a group that has more members than Bieber’s fan club. He’s nothing more than a warm body for Williams to beat up on, and the odds are reflective of that sentiment.

Colosseum Sport Hall, Grozny, Russia

Lucas Browne +200

Ruslan Chagaev -250

Chagaev will defend his secondary heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Lucas Browne - who is determined to become Australia’s first-ever heavyweight champion. At 36 years old, this might be the undefeated Browne’s last shot. The Uzbekistan-born Chagaev is coming off a KO win over Francesco Pianeta from this past July.

DC Armory, Washington D.C.

Tony Thompson +1100

Luis Ortiz -2300

TV: HBO, 10 p.m. ET

Heavyweight champion Luis Ortiz will defend his belt against former two-time world title challenger Tony Thompson. The hard-hitting Ortiz had been having trouble tracking down an opponent before Thompson stepped up to the plate. The only real suspense here is whether Ortiz will notch another KO - he’s got 21 in his 24 career wins.

DC Armory, Washington D.C.

Sadam Ali -179

Jessie Vargas +147

TV: HBO, 10 p.m. ET

On the co-feature of Ortiz-Thompson, rising contender Sadam Ali will face Jessie Vargas for the vacant welterweight world title. The 27-year old Ali is a 2008 U.S. Olympian from Brooklyn and has yet to lose a fight since turning pro. Vargas is coming off a decision loss to Timothy Bradley in an interim title bout.

Genting Arena, Birmingham, U.K.

Bradley Skeete +115

Sam Egginton -145

Eggington will defend his British and Commonwealth welterweight titles against Skeete, who is the current WBO European welterweight champion. In other words, a lot of insignificant belts are at stake here. However, Eggington is worth watching as the 22-year old is fast becoming one of the U.K.’s brightest prospects.
