Echo Arena, Liverpool, U.K.

Derry Matthews +500

Terry Flanagan -800

WBO lightweight champion Terry “Turbo” Flanagan - 29-0, 12 KOs - will defend his lightweight title in a grudge match against Liverpool’s Derry Matthews - 38-9-2, 20 KOs. Gamblers seem to be heavily flocking towards Flanagan, whose line has moved 100 points from -700 in the span of a week. In that same time, Matthews has gone from +475 to +500.

Although this is a grudge match, it doesn’t seem like the outcome will be in much doubt. Flanagan already beat Mathews in 2012, and he’s never looked better since winning the belt. It’s going to be a spirited local affair, but one that should ultimately end in a successful title defense for the champ.

Echo Arena, Liverpool, U.K.

Navid Mansouri +875

Liam Williams -1300

Undefeated Commonwealth super welterweight champion Liam Williams - 13-0-1, 8 KOs - will squares off against BBBofC champion Navid Mansouri - 15-1-2, 5 KOs on the undercard of Flanagan-Mathews. Williams is a 23-year old phenom who has the power to become an international star. Mansouri is a decent fighter with a regional title. There’s a reason why the odds are so lopsided.

While Williams’ line has stayed put, Mansouri’s has jumped from +700 to +875 in the past week. Oddsmakers are teasing gamblers with a better payout, but don’t be fooled. This is a complete mismatch and a showcase fight for Williams.

Saturday, February 20, 12:00 p.m. ET

Koenig Pilsener Arena, Germany

Fedor Chudinov -270

Felix Sturm +225

Former IBF/WBA/WBO 160-pound champion Felix Sturm - 39-5-3, 18 KOs - will have the opportunity to regain a world title in a matchup with WBA super middleweight champion Fedor Chudinov - 14-0, 10 KOs. The faced off last May, with Chudinov winning a split decision. Sturm has not fought since.

It’s questionable matchmaking, at best. Sturm is 0-2-1 in his past three and he gets another title challenge? While Chudinov struggled at times in their first encounter, he was clearly the better fighter. Sturm has been fading badly, and his non-existent gas tank is a serious liability. I’m surprised that Chudinov isn’t a bigger favorite.
